For ages I couldn't think of a first name for nefarious. You know how when you look at some folk you go, "oh, you look like a Sam," or "you don't look like a Max," all I got whenever I looked at Nef was "Yep, that's Nefarious alright." I just could never see him with any other name.
Recently though I've been coming around to the idea of his given name being Ivan, with Nefarious being the surname. I don't know why Ivan, but it just feels more right than other names I've tried out.
Its largely a moot point anyway, since my version of Nef doesn't care for his birth name and doesn't use it anymore if he can help it. So few people know what his actual name is anyway, and it's not as if he's going to go around telling folk what it is. Hes just Nefarious, or Doctor, or Doctor Nefarious, and that's all anyone needs to know.
