nothing makes me angrier than negligent pet owners. they let their pets wander around, get into other peoples' stuff and possibly cause injury to other people or their pets. Worst of all, the pets suffer. They get staked out in the backyard for days on end, they rarely get any attention and get the bare minimum of food needed to survive. They deserve better than that. I recently brought a cat into my house because he was wandering around the neighborhood, un-neutered and collarless for weeks. i sincerely thought he was a stray, and he was simply the sweetest little darling you could imagine. I wanted to find him a good home, but instead I had to return him to some of my neighbors, knowing that they were never going to give him a warm, loving home. knowing instead that he would end up huddling in the cold of winter, hungry and alone. Knowing he would probably be the father of hundreds more cats who would just end up in the same place. Maybe some would end up in nice homes, but so many more would end up dead by the roadside, or in shelters being put down. They are as much alive as we are, and don't deserve the lot they are given. They are precious, and will fill your heart with love if you let them. But they can only do what we allow them to.
If you love your pets and treat them like family, good for you, go give them a hug. But if you are one of those irresoponsible people (you know who you are), be warned, whether by my hand or by another's you will get what's coming to you. You will pay for the crimes that you see as only minor transgressions. You, like the pets you neglect, do not go unnoticed
