20s, She/Her, Welcome to my corner of the internet for all things My Hero Academia. I hope you enjoy your time here (: Requests are Closed! You can find my masterlist HERE
Failure to follow these rules will result in your request being deleted
Hey loves! Since I am getting more requests (which I am super happy about, keep them coming) I just wanted to make a general post about them so that way you know what to expect when requesting from me!
First, when you request something, you have to be specific about who you want for a MAX of 4 boys/girls. If you are not specific, the request will be assumed to be for Midoriya, Shoto, Kirishima, and Bakugo. You can interchange the boys/girls out or pick a completely different set of four. If you want more than four, then you are more than welcome to request a new set, provided by the terms set in my last rule, of course, if you want a one-shot with just one of the boys/girls, that is okay too! :)
Second, if you request something suggestive or NSFW, the characters are automatically aged up; I saw a bit ago about controversy over this since teenagers technically do nsfw things, I'm not going to hate on what another writer wants to write, to each their own- I just personally will not- so the boys will automatically be adults in their careers along with the reader
Third, there isn't much I won't write for, if i am unfamiliar with a topic that you are requesting for I will do research on it (I did a bunny quirk and an eczema one not long ago that I definitely used the internet for to help me lol) that being said, if I am uncomfortable with a topic I will let you know, if I don't want to write the topic- it will be deleted **I will not write bimbo/himbo requests or transgender/gender fluid requests, I love you and I am so happy for you however everyone’s journey with this topic is different and I do not want to come off as ignorant and/or offend** I also do not write for shigaraki
Fourth, I don't have a timeline of when I will get the requests out, but I will do my best to get them out as soon as possible <3 Just please be patient with me:)
Finally, I get anywhere between 6-12 requests a day, so please only do one request at a time. When you see your request has been posted or it has been past seven days, you can ask again. It makes it so everyone has a chance to get their requests written and helps me not feel so overwhelmed.
Thank you so much for all the love and support you guys have given me <3 it means a lot to me! I can't wait to show you everything I have written and to receive more requests to write!
This is completely self indulgent.. but I have made it past my 90 days in my new job and got my performance review back! Time to learn life/work balance again, loving my hobbies again, and of course- writing about my favorites once more <3
side note: I completely forgot my format now that I am trying to post this.. I need to go back and review haha
Synopsis: During 90 days of your new job, the boys worry about you and how you are losing yourself to prove yourself to this new job
ft. Midoriya, Shoto, Bakugo
Midoriya-
He knew you were working hard and that you were trying to prove yourself in the first 90 days of your new job, but worried for you is an understatement of how he felt. You were working long hours; not just 9- to 10-hour days- no, your days were 13, 14, sometimes 15 hours long. You would come through the door too exhausted to eat. Only to kiss him, already dazed out and heading towards the bedroom where he knew you were going to shower and fall asleep.
He would try to text you throughout the day. An ‘I love you’ here and an ‘I hope you ate today’ there. Most of the time they would go unanswered, but if you found that one random moment where you were deep in spreadsheets, data, contract requirements, and getting drive-by tasks with quick deadlines you’re response would be a quick ‘Sorry, super busy- love you! Yes, I ate. You definitely forgot to eat. He was teaching his class, trying to stay present with his students, but in the back of his mind, all he could do was wonder whether you should have taken this job.
He was home. Dinner was made, but he knew it would go cold. He had a beer in his hand that he was nursing. He was never one for drinking, but he needed something, anything, to take the edgy nerves he was feeling from you not being around. The TV was off, and the only lights on were the lamps scattered around the apartment. He checked his phone- nothing. Sigh. He was about to get up, thinking he should grade some papers, when the front door busted open, making him jump.
You were here, 4 hours earlier than when you normally were. Instead of being tired, you were wired and bright. It was like your happiness was radiating off of you. You bounced over to him, dropping everything at your feet as you wrapped your arms around him, telling him over and over again that you did it. He immediately embraced you; his stress and worry melting away because, for the first time in 90 days, you were here. Not just physically here, but mentally. You were telling him all about your first project that your 90 days was being rated on, and he listened; he always did, but the only thing he cared about was that his person was back.
Shoto-
Shoto was deeply concerned, and when he became concerned, he became vocal about it- especially when it came to you. When you first told him about the project that your company tasked you with, and told him that is what you would be rated on for your first 90 days, he already saw where this was going. You were an “all-in” type of person, and with everything you did, you made it your mission to be the best at it. No mistakes. He remembers the first thing he told you when you were talking about it was, “Do not push yourself too hard; they can replace you at any time there, but I cannot replace you here.” You nodded and told him you wouldn’t, but the way that you immediately jumped back into the drafts of what you were thinking for the systems and new algorithms for efficiency in the data they were tracking told him that you were, in fact, going to push yourself.
The more days you worked there, the more he became vocal about your new “obsession.” By 45 days in, he told you when you got home super late, “You should put a cot in your office, if you are going to stay there for 16 hours in one day.” You were too tired to argue, only telling him this was important to you and that he would understand soon. You kissed his forehead and walked away, heading for the bedroom. Part of him wanted to follow you, but he knew following would mean he would see how run-down you were starting to become, which would cause him to say something and lead to a potential argument. He decided to go work out in the home gym instead.
The strain he has felt in your relationship, on top of being the number two hero, was starting to feel like too much for him. He started working longer hours, texting you less, and sometimes not being home when you made it home, and you were still working those long hours. He wasn’t being spiteful; he was just lonely. Being home made it worse, and if he couldn’t help his own life and own relationship- at least he could help others. He was in his office when his intercom went off. It was the front desk saying someone was here to see him. His face twisted in confusion- he wasn’t expecting anyone. When he asked who it was, the receptionist said Your name. His heart skipped. It had been a long time since he felt like you had this effect on him, but you were here for him. The response to let you come up came without hesitation, and for some reason he started to feel nervous.
You wasted no time getting to Shoto’s office, pushing open the door- still in your work attire with a wide smile. When the door opened, Shoto stood and came around the desk, starting to ask what was going on, but you interrupted him to give him the biggest kiss and hug since you took this position. Before he could say another word, you jumped into your story about your presentation, the statistics, the way the executive leadership was impressed, and that your 90-day evaluation came back and you excelled. You were talking to him like you couldn’t believe it, but he knew you and knew how you were. This was no surprise, and he was genuinely happy for you. However, as he held you while you talked, he could not help but ask you when you paused to take a breath, “Does this mean we get to go back to normal now?” You paused, for the first time truly seeing how your absence has affected Sho. You gave him that soft smile he loves and said softly, “Yeah, Sho, we are back to normal. I love you.”
Bakugo-
He didn’t even want you to take this stupid job. He was a top pro here, for fucks sake. He was fine with you having a little job so you wouldn’t get bored and feel a sense of independence that you want, but damn, he didn’t want you to go full boss babe mode and center your entire life around this job. “I went to school for this, Kat- the school that you insisted on paying for, remember? You don’t want me to use the degree that I worked hard for- that you paid for?” He sucked his teeth. “Tch, I don’t give a shit what you do; just don’t forget you have a home, yeah? No sense working yourself to death when you don’t have to.” You knew he was concerned, but you had something to prove- to yourself.
The first time he got home before you- when he left the house after you- he was blowing up your phone with texts and calls. Hell no, we’re not startin this shit. Where are you? You better not be at that POS job. Come home. What the hell are you doin'? Saving the city? Get your ass home. You ended up turning your phone off. You needed to finish this one report, and him blowing up your phone was not helping. Of course you got to hear about that when you finally did get home, and you were quick to snap back at him. “I remember you working around the clock to prove yourself when you went pro- what’s the difference, Kat?!” Katsuki didn’t miss a beat as he was following you into the bedroom- where a shower and bed were all you were fully thinking of. “Saving the city and crunching some numbers are two different things, sweets; your precious data sheets will be there in the mornin'.” You were too tired to argue with him, instead opting to shut the bathroom door in his face.
It was four days. Four long, dreadful, rage-infused days where Katsuki had not seen you. His poor sidekicks got the brunt of it, but he couldn’t help it. “It’s close to my deadline of 90 days, Kat. I need to finish this.” Is what you told him two days ago on a quick phone call when he threatened to show up to your job and physically remove you from the building if you didn’t answer him. “You can’t finish it if you’re dead- which is where you're heading if I don’t see you soon, fuck it’s like you forgot you are in a damn relationship.” He heard you sigh. “I promise I will make it up to you. I love you- I need to go.” You hung up before he could get a word in. By the end of his patrol on day four, he made the decision himself. He is going to your damn job.
When he walked in, everyone knew who he was, who he was here for, and that he was determined to see you- no matter what the scrawny receptionist at the front would say. He walked confidently up. “Where are they?” was all he said. Sure, it was a question- but his tone meant he was demanding an answer, not asking for a possibility. “Co-conference room 3, third floor, giving a presentation.” The receptionist said. Katsuki didn’t miss a beat, opting for the stairs to his right instead of the elevators to his left- he was faster than that vertical box anyway. When he found the conference room, it was all glass walls, so he could see you on your concluding slide, you taking a bow and then the room having the professional applause that is served after a job well done. He saw you smile wide, your shoulders visibly relax, and the light coming back into your eyes as your leadership team was talking to you. His steps faltered as he watched it, and he found his own shoulders relaxing. He saw how proud you were, how relieved you were, and he knew deep down- that is all he cared about. Your eyes met his through the glass, and they widened- shock covering your face. You took a quick bow to your bosses and quickly made it to the door, leadership’s eyes following your every move. He met you at the door, and before you could get a word in, he pulled you close and kissed you. You relaxed instantly in his arms as you kissed him back. When he pulled away, resting his forehead against yours, the only thing he could say was, “I’m proud of you sweets.”
heyyyy, happy birthday!!! Hope this new year brings you joy and all good things✨💚

Midoriya-
“I wish you would own up to your flaws and just say that you’re wrong when you’re wrong.”
He hated fighting with you. It made him physically sick every time, but you are one stubborn person, and even when you know that you are wrong, you will act like you are right and stand your ground. Some nights, the fight will last about an hour or so; other nights, you will storm out of his house in the middle of the night, claiming that you can’t even look at him right now.
He knows that you cannot know everything that goes on in his life, and he doesn’t expect you to-, but he does try to help you understand what it’s like to be in his shoes- to have the city, the world, depending on you. Some nights when you are frustrated because he isn’t here, or a cancelled date, or how he couldn’t make it to an event that you have been looking forward to for months, it spills into more and words get thrown to hurt, not fix.
You always come back when you calm down, always apologize, and start asking for a constructive way to be better- because you do love this man, you love him with all of your heart, and you don’t want to lose him. He knows this, in the way that you do become better, you do change your habits and ways (even with the slip-ups occasionally). It’s the stubbornness you have that causes these fights, but it’s the same stubbornness you have to be better that makes him okay with staying.
Bakugo-
“I’m not in love; it’s just a game with you. I tell myself I’m not that into you- but I don’t want to sleep, it’s quarter after three.”
He has gone over this in his head a thousand times. It’s not serious, at the end of the day, you mean nothing- just someone to pass the time with when he is bored. He doesn’t have feelings and can ghost you at any time he wants. He just hasn’t yet… because he doesn’t want to, not because he can’t. It’s convenient. You know him, the way sometimes he doesn’t want to talk and just sits there in your presence. You know when to ask questions and when to stop pushing. You know his favorite food and drinks. To teach someone else that? Tch. Too much work.
He sighs in his bed, running a hand down his face. Since when did he become a teenage girl? Thinking about someone who doesn’t even have a label with him and worrying about what they are doing. If they had a good day, if they wanted to come over, but didn’t know how to ask- if he should have asked if they wanted to come over, maybe he should have- wait. The fuck. Katsuki groans and rubs both of his eyes with the palms of his hands.
Stupid. This is stupid- he doesn’t care, and the feeling he gets in your chest when you give him that dorky smile doesn’t mean a damn thing. Or that feeling in his stomach when he finds out you already have prior engagements and can’t make it over right now, but you will swing by later if he wants. He turns his head and looks over at the clock on his nightstand, “3:15.” He stares at it for a moment. “Fuck it.” He grabs his phone and slides to your contact- purposefully ignoring his wallpaper that is a picture of you curled up on his couch asleep, and sends a quick text: “You awake?” Tch. Stupid.
Dabi-
“How come when I love somebody, part of me don’t wanna stay? Every time I get too close, I just start pushin’ them away.”
Falling for you was not part of the plan. You were just supposed to be temporary- something to just pass the time along until he decided to find something better to play with. He doesn’t remember exactly when he fell for you. Maybe it was when you didn’t shy away when he came to your apartment, bleeding and bruised. He remembers the worry in your eyes, but you didn’t ask questions as you cleaned him up. Or maybe it was when you traced his staples and scars with the lightest touch all over his arms and torso and still whispered he was the most attractive man you had ever met.
Love meant vulnerability. Vulnerability meant that he could be hurt in some way- and he swore, swore that no one would be able to hurt him again. So he did what he does best- ruin things. He started to ignore you, texts, calls, even when you tried to find him in person, he would duck away or pretend he wasn’t there until you gave up. On the days you were persistent and stubborn, he would snap at you, say things to try and hurt you, and tell you to get lost. He could see the hurt, anger, and defiance in your eyes- and his chest ached every time you muttered a “whatever” and walked away.
When he didn’t hear from you for five days, he thought he had done it. You finally got the hint, and you were gone. It was what he wanted, but damn did this hurt. More than what it should- he never had a problem pushing people away before, so why did you have this big of an effect on him? He didn’t think he had fallen this deep for you- but the pang in his chest and the anxiety running throughout his body say otherwise. It doesn’t matter- in a few weeks, he will be fine, and you will forget all about him. A knock sounded at his door. His heart leaped at the immediate thought it was you- but he quickly shoved it aside. It’s been almost a week, and you are gone. He opened the door- blank look on his face, but it quickly turned to shock when he saw you standing there. You had a fire in your eyes as you didn’t greet him, only simply said, “I don’t know what the hell you think you are doing, but whatever game you think you are playing, I can play it ten times better- you can’t get rid of me that easily.”
Shinso-
“Maybe I just want to leave, before they try to leave me first. Maybe I don’t want to need them til they say they need me first.”
This feeling scared him. The one where he thinks he depends on you too much. That he is falling for you too quickly, before he knows for sure that you are falling just as hard. It’s a hard thing to gauge. He has no idea how deeply you feel for him. Sure, you smile when he is around. You make jokes and seem to lean into his touch, but how much is it because you are falling for him, and how much is it because you are being nice?
The old insecurities and anxiety are coming back to him, where he has all the ideas and expectations and the thoughts of this being something real, something serious with you, and you are just going to throw him away. That you will change your mind and see him as a villain- even though he has proved over and over that he is a hero, a good guy, someone that anyone can depend on if they need to. Maybe he should just cut it off. Do it now while he isn’t in it super deep. It will hurt for a little bit, but at least he will do it first before you have the chance to rip his heart out. Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. Rip the bandaid off so that way you never knew he needed you, craved you, wanted you.
The sound of your voice calling his name with worry laced in your tone snaps him back to reality. He shakes his head for a moment and apologizes, asking you to repeat yourself. You stare at him for a second and ask if he is alright. He shrugs nonchalantly, saying that he is fine, just tired. By the look on your face, he can tell that you don’t buy it. Your eyes search his face, and then, slowly, you take his hands in yours. The response is automatic as he wraps his fingers around yours. He hates that he needs this. You look down at his hands, intertwined perfectly in yours, and you look back up at his eyes. “You know I care about you, right, Hitoshi? Whatever is bothering you, bothers me too; so let me help you fix it- because I can’t stand to see you upset and worried.” He looks to try to see if there is any deception in your face, but when he finds none, his chest loosens, and his shoulders relax- a small smirk falls on his face as he pulls you close. He is falling for you hard, but he believes now you are falling just the same.
a/n: I'mmmmmm bacccckkkkkkkk <3 Definitely finding stability in my life again and finding joy in the things I used to love doing once more. Enjoy my new work <3
Izuku
It was a tiring day for Izuku; the students were chaotic, it was back-to-back meetings between his classes, and he still had a stack of papers that he needed to grade. Needless to say, he wanted to hurry home to be able to have you in his arms- you were always able to make the tension and stress melt off of him and have him forget the worries of his day.
He didn't know whether he wanted to just give you a long, tight hug when he walked through the door, a kiss that poured out how much he missed and needed you, or to just immediately drag you to the couch and pull you close to him, not worrying about anything else in the world. As he made it to the door of your shared apartment, he could feel his stomach flipping as he was anxious to see you, ready to be officially done with the outside world, and ready to be babied by the one who loves him.
He takes one look at you after he walks through the door, and the reaction is immediate. The stress falls off his shoulders, his posture relaxes, a small smile forms on his face, and his eyes light up with adoration and love. You walk up to him like you always do, greeting him as you always do, and the same love and adoration reflecting in your eyes. He doesn't know how he has gotten so lucky.
He doesn't hesitate, doesn't think about it; as soon as you approach, wrapping your arms around him, he holds you close with one arm, the other staying by his side, holding his briefcase, and he presses his lips tenderly to your forehead while closing his eyes. He breathes you in as he does, allowing himself to imagine being wrapped around you completely, from the body spray you are wearing to the feel of your body against his. He pulls back after a few moments and looks down at you with a soft smile on his face as he whispers, "I love you so much."
Shoto
Shoto has never been one to put his burdens on others. He never grew out of the mentality of letting others carry his weight to let him rest and recharge. He is the number two hero- he should be able to handle hard days, no matter if they are multiple days in a row. He can handle villains getting away- he will get them eventually. He can handle not cracking a case- he will crack it eventually. He can handle this weight, this burden, and he REFUSES to let the light you shine in his life to be dimmed by things that he knows he can carry and hold.
Shoto is changing into civilian clothes to go home, tension running through all the muscles in his body. This is the fourth mission to capture and contain this villain. The fourth time this villain has slipped through his and other heroes' grasp. He is getting agitated. He should have gotten this villain three missions ago, but instead he gets to go home unsuccessful, and the city is not safer one night more. His mind is going a mile a minute on where he went wrong- even after he has finished changing, packed up, and is heading towards his car to head home.
He doesn't remember the drive home, he only remembers thinking if he would of entered in through the west corridor instead it would of blocked off another exit- he could of froze the vents as he went to block off those routes, his walk up to the door is the same as always on the outside, but on the inside Shoto is a million miles away- back at a mission he was on just a few hours ago. The smell of food being cooked doesn't register to him; he doesn't hear you call his name or greet him, but his mind stops spiraling the moment he feels you pressed against him, arms wrapped around him, and your eyes looking into his, the slight worry underneath the relief of him being home safe.
He moves one hand up to cup your face, tracing your cheek with his thumb before he leans forward, eyes closed, and presses his lips to your forehead. He slowly exhales as he kisses you, the soft, intimate moment breaking through to him. Slowly, the stress of the day leaves him as he enjoys the moment of being in your light, remembering that this is why he has to always come home- no matter if the mission was successful or not, because you are here; and he always has to come back to his home.
Kirishima
The unbreakable hero is, in fact, breakable- just not on the surface. The back-to-back shifts, long patrols, and the late nights are starting to get to the red-headed man, but he does what he always does: smiles through it, laughs it off in front of others, and provides the positive reinforcement his peers need. Eijiro is tired- and he doesn't know how much longer he can keep up his happy, supportive act.
It's the end of the day, and Kirishima just finished working with a group of recruits who are highly eager, a little egotistical, and need a lot of guidance. They have a lot of potential, but their motivation battery and patience are running low. Not even his favorite food seems to be helping perk him up. He finds himself daydreaming of you. Taking you out of the city, on a vacation, somewhere remote where no one can find the two of you, and spending time doing whatever the two of you want. That sounds nice- and just what he needs.
His little daydreams turn into him starting to think of places the two of you can go, when he could take time to go, wondering when you could find time to get away, and how long both of you could afford to be away from real life. He knows you will say yes; he cannot remember a time you ever told him no, but he wants this to be for you, too, and what you want to do. Being with a hero is not for the faint of heart, and he wants you to have a chance to relax and recharge just as much as he does.
He is thinking about how to bring it up to you as he walks through the door. You peek your head around the corner when you hear the door and beam at the sight of him. He always looks handsome to you, even when he is worn out from the day. You walk up to him, welcoming him home as you go to embrace him. His shoulders slump down as he leans to kiss your forehead, already feeling ten times better. When he pulls away, the words slip out, and how he wanted to subtly approach the subject goes out the window as he says, "Let's go on a vacation, just us, where no one can find us." Yep- real subtle.
Bakugo
It was a day from hell if Katsuki could put a phrase on it. The only good part of his day was when he kissed you goodbye this morning, and that even sucked because he had to leave you in bed to go to work. He accidentally spilled his coffee in his car, making him cuss the entire way to the agency; his newest sidekick resigned- this is the 12th one this month; his patrol was uneventful, which pissed him off because that meant that it dragged on, and when he got back to his desk there was a stack of patrol routes that he had to go through and approve/annotate. He hates paperwork.
To say his gaskets were about to blow by the time he got back in his coffee-smelling car was an understatement. Cussing as he drives back home about having to get his car detailed and the mats shampooed, he wanted nothing more than a shower, a beer, and to lie the hell down. He didn't want to talk, didn't want to think, and wanted to be left alone to his own devices.
Those ideas and thoughts left his head the second he laid eyes on you. There was nothing you were doing that was special; you were on the couch, reading your book with the lamp on beside you, but to him, that was the most perfect sight in the world, and he wanted nothing more but to be in your presence. He crossed the room, catching your eyes for only a split second as you looked up from your book before he kissed your forehead, hands finding either side of your head- covering your ears. You gently close your book as you relish in the feeling, but also knowing this means he had a hard day and just needs you.
When he pulls back, your eyes meet again, and you give him that soft smile that secretly drives him wild. He allows himself to scan the rest of your face, feeling the anger and pent-up energy from the day come out of his body- only you can do this to him; he loves it and hates it at the same time. He stands back up, eyes not leaving yours as he says casually. "I'm gonna take a shower, ya' comin' or what?" That earned a million-dollar smile from you as you got up and let him lead you to your bathroom.
hi! are you planning on continuing ur mha omegaverse series?
Hiiiii! So I am taking a (extended) break right now- but yes! I do plan on continuing/finishing it at some point- I just have a-lot going on right now 😊
This can be read with any boy <3 a new style I wanted to try since I couldn't pick which boy I wanted to use to write this idea out, I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed breathing life back into something that I love to do <3 I have missed you.
It was hard for him at first. Watching you lose sleep, lose motivation, lose yourself. He watched as the light in your eyes dimmed, how your smile got smaller and smaller until it either wasn’t there at all, or so fake because you were trying to mask it- for him. He didn’t know which one was worse.
“It will take time,” Your therapist told him in one of the group sessions he went to with you. “healing isn’t a vertical line, there are good days and bad days, but the best thing is to just be there- whether that’s just to listen, to motivate, to help; meet where they are at and keep showing up.” It took those words to heart, and made it his new personal mission- because he was going to save you- even if it was from yourself.
It started with small things; he would ask if you had taken your medicine that morning, just a gentle, constant reminder that he was there to help support you. He would text you to ask if you had eaten today, if you needed anything, and what food you wanted. When you needed space, he gave it to you. When you wanted to vent, he would listen, biting his tongue on what he wanted to say and letting you process what you were feeling. When he felt you get out of bed in the middle of the night he would time it- if you came back within the hour, he acted none the wiser, if you were gone for longer he would get up to find you, ask what you needed, reminded in you that he loved you and you weren’t alone, that he was proud of you.
He didn’t know what progress looked like in a situation like this. The battle was internal for you, not a villain that he could physically see and take down himself. He didn’t know if you were getting better, or worse, or if you were just able to tread where you were at. That was the worst part for him. Was he helping? Was he failing? Are you getting worse? Better? He doesn’t want to ask you- it might make you think that he is getting impatient with you or that he doesn’t think you are getting better, even if you are. He just quietly watches you, watches your face to see if that same spark is coming back, that same smile he fell in love with, that person he knew before the world was able to seep into you.
He just came home from work, tired and worn down from the day between patrols and paperwork. He shuffled off his shoes and made his way further into the house, making his way to the living room, where he would assume to find you, on the couch, either on your phone or pretending to watch TV while you are miles away in your head. He stops in the doorway, frozen at what he sees.
You are in the living room- but instead of cuddled up on the couch, you are sitting on the floor, criss-cross, a small smile on your face and a relaxed look on your face as you are working on a project that he thought was long forgotten when this internal battle started. He saw the passion and excitement tracing through your eyes as you work- your spark, just barely, but there- in your eyes and your face as you concentrate. He can’t help but stare as he sees the first real physical evidence of how your battle is going. He has to blink back the water that gets into his eyes- because he is definitely not about to cry over this, as a smile breaks out onto his face. He can’t help but watch you, watch you do something you used to love doing, and get to see it again after so long. He shifts his weight to lean against the door frame as he watches you. The movement makes your head look up and meet his eyes, the small smile still on your face, even as you stop working on your project.
“What?” You ask him so casually, so softly, like this wasn’t a momentous battle moment he has been waiting for. He tries to act so casual, so nonchalant about it.
“Nothing,” He says as he shrugs his shoulders, but the smile is still on his face. “I just really love your smile.”
I am still around! 💙 I have been getting the help I need and have finally decided I need to move to move on to a new career and hopefully some of my problems will go away once i am away from certain individuals that have drained me and made work come home with me 😅
I hope to be back writing soon, maybe work on some requests I never finished or got around to do 🥰
He knew something was off. You had been like this for weeks; you would seem fine, smiling, happy, cheerful, but your hobbies that he would always watch you work on and talk about slowly faded into the background. Instead of him finding you working on your next project, you would be on the couch on your phone, or watching a random video you found on YouTube, or doing literally anything else.
He didn't ask you, didn't push, that wasn't his style. He would let you handle it until he thought he needed to step in. When he came home from patrol, he would find you cooking dinner for the two of you, kiss your forehead, and ask how you were doing. He never corrected you when you smiled and said you were fine. He knew you weren't fine.
It got worse when he started going on night patrol more. It was standard for heroes, rotating the night shift, taking a couple. weeks to help out. When he first went on nights he would come home to find you already asleep, as you should be, but as a few days passed, then a week, and then going onto his third week of being on nights, you were awake. You weren't necessarily waiting for him, but you would be watching a live stream of some YouTuber, or playing a video game that had pixelated chickens that you named Nugget (he stopped asking about the game after you told him that). He knew it was time he said something.
It was a Monday night, and he knew you had work early the next morning, but close to 1 am, he found you sitting outside on the balcony, staring at the city lights as you sipped on a hot drink. He stood inside and watched you for a moment. Watched the way your shoulders were tensed, how your face was in a neutral expression, not the soft smile that used to always be there, and watched how the person he loved, his partner in everything, seemed to be slowly fading away. His chest tightened, and he took a deep breath before opening the door.
"What's goin on with ya?" He asks casually as he sits down. He doesn't look at you, knowing the direct attention would work you up. Instead, he looks out into the city with you. "You haven't been actin' like yourself recently- now I know yer not sleepin', so what happened?" You inhale. You knew this was coming, but you also knew you weren't going to be ready for this talk.
"It's just a few late nights, Kat, not a big deal." You say. He scoffs and leans back in the patio chair, the one he remembers you picking out so excitedly as he eye-rolled at the price, but he bought it- because it was for you.
"You think I don't feel ya tossin and turnin when I get in bed? Or when you get up at five in the mornin' cause you don't want to wake me with your rustlin'? You might be in bed, but you're not sleeping. Now you are fully awake when I come home. Don't lie to me, you're thinking way too fuckin' loud for you to tell me you're fine." You look over at him, and it gives him the motivation to push more.
"I haven't seen you touch your book in almost two weeks. That drawing for that friend you never finished, nor have I seen that dumb website up on your computer that you used to rave on about- you go to work, come home and make a drink, and dull yer mind out with noise, whether it's that stupid youtuber that I swear to fuckin' God says 'chat' every five seconds or play that game where you act like you know the first thing about farmin'." He leans forward. "I miss you. So where are you? Cause you're not here- and it's startin' to scare the shit out of me."
You glaze over his face, seeing the worry, the fear, the love- and you know you can't lie to him. You reach over and take his hand into yours and give him a sad smile.
Another self-indulgence piece, not quite Valentine's Day, but soft and cute anyway. I hope you guys enjoy it!

It wasn't that you didn't want to cuddle with your boyfriend, you wanted to, desperately. The problem was that you were terrified. Not of him, never of him. But what if he realized you weren't enough? What if the plush weight of your thighs or the softness of your stomach was unappealing or too much? Would he realize how much better he could do and decide to be done with you to find that 'better'?
You couldn't voice your thoughts, anytime you even considered it the words would get caught in your throat and you'd feel like you were choking. Because what if you pointing it out made him see it when he hadn't before?
Too many what if's always swirling in your head, the anxiety and fear making it so that you could never fully relax around him - no matter how much you wanted to. He'd never given you any reason to think he might leave or change his mind. But you heard the whispers, the backhanded compliments and derisive words. You saw the comments on the rare occasion he would post something of the two of you or a photo of you would make its way into some tabloid or article about him or your relationship.
The thing is, you're not weak, not by a long shot. But you carry some extra weight, and it's something you've been reminded of since elementary school when your own mother threatened to put you on a diet at the tender age of 11. Even now, well into your adult life, she would still reference that singular summer where she didn't have you participate in a sport as the reason you're a little extra fluffy.
Bakugo wasn't stupid, he noticed how some days you seemed fine, laughing and touching him with ease and suddenly the next day you would shy away from his touch. He noticed the way you almost seemed to flinch when he'd hold you from behind or how you'd look yourself over with a critical eye anytime you'd go out together in public.
He just didn't get why. You're gorgeous, he'd thought that since the first time he saw you.
You were at the gym, a light sheen of sweat giving you a soft glow even under the harsh overhead lights. An oversized t-shirt hid most of your upper body, dark calf-length leggings nearly hid the bit of athletic tape you'd applied to stabilize your ankle before working out. It must have been an arm day for you and your friend because you were standing above the bench behind them, warm hands hovering beneath the bar as you spotted them.
The bar made it to the rack, small weights rattling slightly as it came to rest. Your friend was breathing heavily with a grin on her face, one shaky arm raising to give you a high-five before you started pulling the smaller weights off.
He almost looked away then, almost refocused on his own workout.
But then you grabbed a larger plate - much larger - and you slid another in place on the other side. Your friend's eyes went a little wide, slight worry coloring her expression before you said something that made her laugh.
Bakugo couldn't take his eyes off you as you laid down and gripped the bar. You took a breath and lifted the bar off the rack, slightly adjusting your hold now that you had the weight free and above you. Then, with an ease that clearly surprised your friend (and him if he was being honest), you knocked out the set like it was nothing.
He asked you out that day.
Tonight was like every other, you were staring at the doors of the refrigerator contemplating what you wanted to make for dinner, before ultimately deciding it was going to be a snack night. Maybe not the 'healthiest' choice, but literally nothing sounded good.
Grabbing a tray from the shelf, you pulled out some of the smaller ceramic bowls you used for snacks and cereal, and began to arrange them on the tray before filling them. A bowl of mixed nuts, a handful of cheese slices and crackers, grapes, carrot sticks, celery with a little bit of something to dip them in, a small bowl of little candies - you filled the tray with an array of various things you could much on throughout the evening.
Just as you were about to sit down there was a quick, sharp knock at the door. Before you could take a step toward it, you heard the familiar rattle of keys that always came before the appearance of a certain explosive blond. He always knocked before coming in, no matter how many times you told him he didn't have to.
"Don't want ya freakin' out if ya didn't hear me."
At this point you guys spent almost every night together, whether it was at his apartment or your own. So, rather than get up, you made yourself comfortable on the couch, draping a blanket over your lap and pushing the sleeves of your sweatshirt up so they weren't in the way. Almost every sweatshirt you owned was two sizes bigger than you actually needed - partially for comfort, partially to hide.
"Hey 'Tsuki," you didn't get up, but you gave him a soft smile from where you sat.
The tension in his shoulders eased as soon as his eyes met yours, crimson irises almost seemed to burn with the way they caught the light.
"Hey, pretty."
Warmth flooded your chest, creeping up the back of your neck at the pet name. No matter how often he used it, it still set your heart racing.
You took a moment to take him in; the sharp line of his jaw, the way the ends of his hair dipped just a little under their still damp weight, how his shirt clung just right to the ridges of his toned abdomen. He was beautiful, like a sculpture the gods made flesh. The thought alone sent butterflies through your stomach while your chest tightened uncomfortably.
The sound of his keys hitting the counter pulled you from your thoughts. You refocused in time to see him trudging over to the couch before he plopped down beside you, the weight of his impact jostling you. With a groan, he sprawled out beside you - long legs hanging off the arm while he laid his head in your lap.
A soft chuckle escaped as he did, "Rough day?"
"Tch, damn extras kept gettin' in the way." Another laugh slipped past your lips as you began tracing your fingers through his hair. "S'not funny. When they get hurt, they're gonna blame me."
A pout pulled at his lips. He was irresistible like this, soft and tired after a long patrol. You ducked your head to place a gentle kiss against his lips.
Flicking through a few shows, you finally settled on one as a pleased hum left him. You continued absentmindedly running your fingers through his hair, gently massaging his scalp as the two of you relaxed in comfortable silence - only the quiet sounds of the tv filling the space.
Your snacks sat forgotten on the coffee table in front of you, until he spoke up quietly, "You eat yet?"
"Mmh, kinda," you gestured vaguely toward the still mostly full tray.
He narrowed his eyes, first at the tray, then at you.
"The hell's that?"
Raising an eyebrow as you looked down at his head still in your lap, "Dinner? Nothing sounded good so I figured I'd just munch on whatever seemed vaguely appealing."
"Want me ta make you somethin'?" His voice was soft, lacking any of the bite he used with others.
"That's alright, Tsuki. I'm not that hungry anyway."
He was quiet for long enough that you finally looked down to make sure he hadn't fallen asleep. Only to find him gazing up at you with narrowed, searching eyes. Taking a deep breath, he sat up slowly, keeping his attention on you as he did.
"What's wrong?"
That uncomfortable tightness in your chest came back, fighting against the warmth he always brought.
"Nothing's wrong. Just not hungry."
He continued to watch you for another long moment before swiftly scooping you up and into his lap.
You let out a startled squeak, panic immediately setting in when you realized what he was doing.
"Wait! No! I'm too heavy!"
With an exasperated scoff, he easily settled you into his lap, rolling his eyes at your protests, "What're you talkin' about?"
Heat ignited in your cheeks and up the back of your neck. It was almost hard to breathe with how afraid you were of moving - petrified that if you did, you might hurt him or he'd suddenly realize you weren't some delicate flower.
"Katsuki, please." You didn't dare try and wiggle your way free, keeping your eyes on your hands as you focused on trying to stay small.
"Hey."
The warmth of his hand under your chin sent goosebumps racing across your skin.
"Look at me, pretty."
Flicking your eyes up to meet his, there was a little crease forming between his brows as he looked at you with worry.
"What's goin' on up here?"
The hand under your chin moved enough for him to gently tap near your temple, his eyes never leaving yours as they attempted to search your very soul for answers.
You had to fight against the reflex to look away, until you eventually gave in - returning your gaze to where your hands had unconsciously begun pulling at the sleeves of your sweatshirt. He gave you time as you tried to figure out how to tell him what you were thinking, hoping you could do it without him realizey what you'd been fearing.
Finally giving up and accepting that he would probably leave after you revealed the truth, you tried to swallow past the lump in your throat - tears already starting to sting at your waterline.
"I'm too big, 'Tsuki..." Risking a glance up, you saw him watching you with confusion, a frown pulling at his mouth. "I try, I really do try to lose weight and stay in shape. But it feels like no matter what I do it just... stays."
When he didn't say anything, you continued.
"I see what everyone says and how they look at us when we go out together. They get it too." Swallowing hard, when you spoke again your voice was barely above a whisper, so quiet you almost hoped he wouldn't hear you. "They don't get why we are together... when you could do so much better..."
The tightness in your chest was almost painful now as you held your breath and waited for his response.
Seconds seemed to pass like hours, each one stretching into the next as your heart hammered in your ears. You felt his fingers flex just slightly as they held you, digging into the fabric of your sweatshirt.
"That really whatcha think?"
Peeking up, you had to stop yourself from jumping at the expression that greeted you. His face was soft; the usual harsh line of his mouth curved into a tender smile - the sharp cut of his jaw gentled with the relaxed way he tipped his head as he gazed at you.
"Pretty, ‘don't want anyone else. I don't care what some extra on the street or hidin' behind a keyboard thinks."
His hold on you tightened, pulling you tighter against his chest.
"I asked you out cuz I wanted to. Ya didn't trick me or whatever other stupid thoughts are knockin' around in that head a'yours. You’re strong, stronger than most people I know. I don't care if ya got a little extra on top." One of his large hands drifted to gently grip your thigh, "Just means I got that much more a ya to love on."
Heat flared in your cheeks. Your head snapped up to look at him, immediately noting the low burn of desire reflected in his eyes.
"Tsuki, you don't have to-"
He cut you off, "I don't say shit I don't mean, you should know that by now."
You watched him for another moment. His gaze never faltered, the heat in his eyes rivaled only by the love that was clearly shining alongside it.
As you scrambled to think of something to say, he never gave you the chance. Gently, but firmly, he gripped your chin, tilting it back far enough that he could capture your lips with his.
The kiss was warm and firm, full of desire and a burning intensity that made you fight against the need to squirm in his lap. His mouth moved against yours with such ease and confidence you could do nothing but accept the clear need he was trying to convey.
When you finally broke apart, your chest heaved as you gasped for air. Leaning forward he pressed his forehead against yours.
"'M here cuz I wanna be, pretty."

For most of your life Valentine's Day was just another day. You'd been in a couple of relationships on the day before, but those partners had never really done anything - never bothered to put in the same effort you had. This year though, it was already different.
The sound of your alarm woke you as it always did, the soft song the only thing you could set that wouldn't start your day with a heart attack. Snoozing it once, you forced yourself to rise once it went off again. A soft groan escaping as you sat up, the warm body of a cat curled up between your legs making it difficult. The fluffy little shit barely moved, only lifting her head enough to give you a nasty side-eye, as if to say 'how dare you wake me.'
Huffing a laugh, you patted her head before carefully extricating yourself from the blankets and getting ready for the day. By the time you'd dressed and finished your normal morning routine, you had just enough time to enjoy a light breakfast and a cup of coffee before you needed to leave for work. Which meant you finally had a chance to check your notifications from the night before.
A small smile lit your face when you saw the notice of a message from your boyfriend. Opening the app, you were immediately greeted by a long string of little red hearts that took up nearly half of your phone screen with a little note at the bottom. Warmth bloomed in your chest as you read his sweet words.
Eiji: Good morning beautiful! Happy Valentine's Day! Don't forget to dress warm, I'll see you tonight! <3
The message had come through nearly two hours before your alarm went off, just before he would have started his patrol shift. Typing out a quick reply, you wished him a happy valentine's day, before finishing your coffee and heading out the door.
Work was as irritating as always, only today there was a plus side of your favorite coworker bringing in little treats for the holiday. You through your headphones on and quickly got to work, trying to focus so you could go home a little early. It was just about the time you usually took your lunch when one of your coworkers came to find you, saying there was a customer who wanted to speak with you.
With a sigh, you followed them, hoping it wouldn't take too long. As soon as you stepped through the door though, your frustration immediately evaporated.
Standing tall with a broad grin stretched across his face, Kirishima Eijiro seemed to fill the space in front of you. His normally spiked hair hung loose, the tips still somewhat damp from the shower he took after patrol. The moment his eyes found yours, everything about him softened - even the sharpness of his teeth seemed to dull when you came into view.
His wide shoulders were somewhat hunched from how he had his hands tucked behind his back. A soft shirt clung to the defined expanse of his chest just enough to make your mouth water, as the long sleeves strained as they attempted to contain the bulk of his biceps.
"Hi baby," his voice was almost shy when he finally spoke, a light dusting of pink touching his cheeks.
"Hi Eiji," a fond smile spreading as you stepped toward him. "What are you doing here? I thought I'd be seeing you tonight?"
Finally releasing his arms from behind him, he pulled out a small but beautiful bouquet. Roses of various colors mixed with greens and your favorite flowers artfully worked together to breathe life into the low burning ember that his message from this morning had ignited in your chest.
"I mean, yeah, I'll see you tonight. But I wanted to surprise you."
He finally stepped forward, meeting you part way. Just before reaching out, you hesitated, your hand lifting slightly before you looked up to meet his eye.
"Are these for me?"
The subtle tip of his head gave him an endearing, almost puppy-like appearance, "Of course. Who else would I get flowers for?"
Humor laced his tone. Your eyes immediately stung as tears gathered unbidden, a lump forming in your throat that you fought desperately to push down.
Kirishima noticed immediately, concern flooding his face, "Hey, are you okay? What's wrong?"
A soft laugh escaped, one hand quickly wiping at your eyes while the other grabbed his free hand.
"Nothing's wrong, Eiji." Another incredulous laugh left you as his hand closed around yours, warm and grounding. "I've just never got flowers before."
Eijiro looked at you with offended devastation, "Well that's just unmanly! How could someone have you and not want to give you all the pretty things?!"
Setting the flowers on the counter behind you, your massive boyfriend wrapped you in his arms, holding you close. The solid rhythm of his heart soothing the emotions that had threatened to overwhelm you.
If this was how Valentine’s Day was supposed to be, then maybe you were starting to understand why everyone seemed to enjoy it so much.
