Speaking as someone who's seen all of Torchwood and considers himself a fan in general, oh my GOD it's a huge steaming mess of a show. It's so absurd, I'm pretty sure half the last season literally just isn't canon to the rest of the offical Whoverse because it makes no sense if it is. I love it though but man it has problems, not the least of which is causing severe depression in anyone who views more than 3 episodes.
considering what the 4th episode is I mean 👀👀👀 But honestly yeah it’s a wild ride. I read that RTD had the idea for CoE and wanted it to be its own thing but decided to make it Torchwood anyways because it already had characters and history etc. which is why it’s so different from the rest. Wouldn’t surprise me if Miracle Day was the same thing
