(@ask-pokecats) Bella approaches the trio. She makes a worried face towards them.
"Meow? I see you're not really feel well today... Can I offer you a curry to cheer nya up?"
"... Hmph." The Eevee just continued her way up the staircase as her response.
"I wish this wasn't how they acted, but I noticed they do this when they aren't happy." Whether Neo-Ka's feelings extended to one still was unknown.
"Ah, it's okay! Neo-Ka just seems to be in a bad mood... Though did I do anything to upset her?"
"It is... Likely from yesterday, if that eases your nerves." The shaysol sighed, yesterday's events still weighing on one's shoulders. "But as much as I dislike this tantrum.. The why is reasonable..."
"I should likely preface that Neo-Ka's still an acquaintance, though... I hate to admit it, but that Eevee is rather terrifying like this."
"Mm.... Maybe we can just revisit her when she feels better." He wasn't sure what to do, he can't just immediately fix this, unfortunately.
With a bit of help on where to go and who to look out for, it was finally time. Hopefully it sufficed that these items were found at the building they were sleeping. Even with this, were they actually doing this all right?
"Would it be appropriate to just drop these items off?" One had a pit in one's stomach.
"I don't think so. But if they're nice but don't like what they have, I don't mind just giving them something else-"
"Ya think that's gonna work now??? Still, how the hell we know if we picked out the right stuff or not? Shadow, ya sure that book thing ain't full of shit?"
"Don't worry, it isn't! That dictionary wouldn't have lied about what we looked up, I'm sure this'll be fine!" It was somewhat of a miracle she found one of those earlier. It was probably the main reason half of the list made sense.
The four eventually approached with what they had.
"... Soooooooo. Who's t'first sacrifice?"
"Uh- I'll do it!" For the sake of not singling anyone out, Shadow takes it upon herself to start out. She cleared her throat a bit to prepare to talk to the unfamiliar human.
“Hiya!” She excitedly waved to her while hiding the gift behind her.
“I didn’t know there were fancy writing sets like this, this is really cool! I don’t really know how to make anything right now, but this should work!" Shadow thought about the dictionary from earlier, which without she wouldn't understand what was asked. "By the way, would you mind if I asked what you like to use this for?” Shadow was particularly curious, and this person looks like she wouldn’t mind talking about it, hopefully.
Wesn’s turn!
“Oh, hi, Indigo! I wanted to give this to you!”
“Unfortunately I didn’t know where to get what you exactly wanted, but…
Luckily we found this! There was a picture on the wall that showed one of these being used to store a lot of brushes. I hope you like it! If you don’t, I can try to find you something else!”
Next, while Neo-Ka was hesitant to walk up, eventually they did so. Eventually.
“Yo. Lizzy, right?”
“So, y’know how many can show up on those docks in the city? Whenever those bigger waves show up, it looks like a big ol’ mess.” The Eevee shuddered a bit. “Anyway, er, hope ya don’t have any of these yet. Somethin’ like that.”
Meanwhile, “Alright, just come along and be polite…” Hope eventually steeled one’s nerves enough to approach Magby. "Hello..."
“I was lucky with this, it was near the door where we sleep. This reminds me of someone I knew that did the same thing… Still, the blanket hopefully works too, it should be nice and warm.”
This was their first time with something like this, especially with new folks. Worry and optimism lingered that the gifts were what they'd like.

Hope looked over.. The figure could be familiar.. Or one's imagination was making up things. Still, it didn't hurt to reply.
"Ah, where to begin.... Originally, in the big fire, so many already scattered, I had no idea what was even happening.
Wesn was the first to find me, and Neo...? Forgive me, I think I got dizzy when you showed up."
"Eh, I just joined cuz Wesn looked like he actually had a damn clue. Pretty sure that explosion after jolted ya though, eh?"
"Yeah... It is unlikely Shadow caused it, but whoever did it must've left while we found her. After though.. The fence, I believe. I don't know what it was, but I felt.. Weird, for a moment. Before I knew it-"
"Seriously though, how t'hell did ya make an explosion in that state?" Neo cut off. "Haven't seen anything like y'did."
"Good question, though... That may be for another time, but for that question, does this suffice?"
(@ask-diane) Selena @Neo-ka - "Forgive my intrusion, but- Neo-ka was it? Is there anywhere or somewhere that you might you might want to see again, by chance?"
"Eh? Oh, uh... Yeah, 'least one spot."
A pause. Too painfully long, too painfully short.
"... Yep. Still 'ere."
"Sh-should we go in?"
"Nah, nah." The Eevee signaled for everyone else to get back behind the wall.
"Ah... Alright." Would it be appropriate to...? No, not yet. Not yet. Maybe a later day... One's mind was wandering too much.

As Neo-Ka was taken a few steps, there was an unexpected visitor. She'd tilt her head a bit, her face grimacing a bit at that.
A pause to think that through. She couldn't help but find herself a bit too worked up from that.
"Yeah, no, that ain't fair. 'Course you'd have no idea what I'm talkin' about." She'd shake her head. "Ugh. Anyway.
I've been here. I lived here. I had it all. Ended on a bang. Full lifetime out here b'fore that van actually came back." She'd wince a bit while finishing the last two sentences.
"All started 'cuz of some stupid solo trainin' trip and shitty locks on their end."
"Eh.. Spent longer than expected. You're at least chill. If ya need a guide to some spots 'round here, I can prob still help with that."

Neo-ka, what's the deal with the whole "full set of hair" and "mostly walking on two legs" thing? I mean, I've come across countless Eevee, and none of them have shown these traits. Well, okay, I've seen them attempt the occasional bipedal walk, but it never seems comfortable or natural for them. And let's not forget that typical Eevees don't have actual sets of hair on their heads, which you seem to possess. Your sister, too, actually.
I hope you don't mind my nosiness, but I can't help but find it makes you appear a little... Y'know...
Eerily "human-ish..."
That stung. Before either of them knew it, Neo-Ka was at the stranger's face, judgement clouded.
"Anybody w'workin' sight's thinks the same fuckin' thing whenever they see me! I ain't stupid enough t'think no one ain't havin' the same thought! 'Sides, y'think I know how I ended up lookin' like this-?"
"N-Neo, cut it out-!"
This was too much.
"... I'm done."
"Are you okay...?"
"I'm goin' back."
"... Alright..."

A group of four eventually found themselves in this unfamiliar area. The guide this time seemed to be Shadow, though that didn't stop her from almost drifting away at times, lost in the wonder. This kind of thing.. The descriptions weren't enough, it was staggering.
"This way! There's supposed to be all sorts of things to do! An opera-thing, shows, all sorts! Even things we haven't seen before!"
Neo-Ka felt very differently. "Yeah, yeah... Oi, did we need to come out this far? Y'all ain't even used to t'city yet-"

"Oh, if we need to, I can find a route back!" Wesn loved seeing all the new faces, and how lively it seemed to be already. So many new folks! Hope trailed behind, initially silent, though the silence was less concerning, at least.
The one save and grace for Neo-Ka was that no people meant free roaming was safer. "Aight, so this spot. Meet back 'ere by sunset, I guess. Don't make a fool outta y'selves. I'm out." They didn't know what they were gonna actually do here, but somethin' that was familiar would be great right now.
"Well.. See ya later? I'm gonna be at the opera thing!" As soon as Shadow could find it, at least!
Hope found oneself... Awestruck by it all. The clouds up close, the buildings, the beauty. One skepticism of Shadow's previous account of the land had all but faded. The crowds made things more tense, but either cloudgazing or sunbathing... Wouldn't be too bad to try out.
Wesn being the last to decide, he eventually figured out something that let him socialize the best. "I'll be at the stalls!"

And several nights since they began this trek. Only one of them had a clear idea where to go from there, after first struggling to place where they were. But, they at least made it. Castelia City. Now to find something suitable for base... If it exists.
"... Are you sure we shouldn't just take the nearest shade? We've been out here since the sun-"
"Yeah? Not my fault nothin's looked good yet... Also.. Shi- Uh. Your name? Again? " The annoyance the amber-eyed Eevee's voice carried was obvious, but not its target.
"Hope." One responded dryly to Neo-Ka, trotting ahead.
A towering, yet friendly figure tried to ease tensions, Wesn rushing to any idea. "If it helps, we can do some icebreakers-"
"Hey!" Another voice now, the Eevee's twin announced loudly to the rest, having broke away from the group. Even with exhaustion weighing on her head and limbs, she'd point and signal for the others.
"Does this count?" The other Eevee, Shadow inquired hopefully.
"... Huh. Think that's it."
The room inside was incredibly spacious, even with the various niknaks that no one understood all over the place. It took a moment for everyone to find somewhere to sleep.
In the morning, Neo-Ka was the first to awaken. Now with a more clear head, there was one thing left to do.
The remaining three would be some moments longer before stirring from their first comfortable rest in days.
