can anyone use any neopronouns? or like is it gender specific? like how usually fem aligned people use she/her, do you have to be like. bunnygender? to use something like bun/buns?
so to put things simply- it depends, but for the most part they are for everyone!
pronouns do not equal gender, and you should use whatever makes you feel most comfortable. just keep in mind that some pronoun sets were coined with specific people/identities in mind!
noun-self pronouns (like bun/buns or pup/pups, for example) are often tied to specific xenogenders, though they are not exclusive to those genders. use whatever makes you feel like you! labels and gender are very fluid, it's okay to use ones that "don't match" or are "contradictory". there are cis gay men who go by she/her. there are he/him lesbians. do whatever you want forever.
though! keep in mind the few sets that are exclusive to certain communities! for example- shi/hir/hirs/hirself. shi/hir (pronounced like "shay" and "hare/here") was historically used by intersex fetishists, and has since been reclaimed by some intersex folks. do not use these pronouns if you are not intersex.
