This is where I talk about boring art stuff. . I’m trying to use pens more when I’m #inking. Prior to my #tattooapprenticeship I rarely used them. Now - everything I draw up for tattooing I ink with a pen. (Using brush would take too long.) So it took a little bit of practice and confidence building to feel comfortable with pens in my #illustration hustle. Normally I just ink everything with a #winsornewton #series7 0 brush and bust out the pens if I need a straight line or #aperfectcircle. I tried a bit of both on this one. I only used the pen for the eyes and flowers. The rest was done with the brush. . If you swipe to the next photo you can see a quick sped up video of me inking this piece. . In the last year I’ve been taping a sheet of regular paper to the back of the #bristolboard because I got tired of dirt or ink collecting on the back of the drawing. I would scrub the drawing board before each inking session and ink would still show up on the back of the bristol board. SO that’s why the blue tape. I get weird and I don’t like using white up. So #schmutz on the back of my drawing drives me crazy. . If anyone is interested in the original art HIT ME UP! . Still feel like garbage! .
