I have ascended to the level of nerdy knits where you spend a solid year modifying patterns, knitting prototypes, and learning to design cable knit patterns in order to make wrist warmers with the Doors of Durin design from The Lord of the Rings: A Musical Tale on them 😂 No regrets.

As a huge Gimli fangirl, I'm very excited that I finally succeeded in replicating this design, which is featured both on the doors and on Gimli's coat in the show! Kudos for the original design to the incredible Simon Kenny! 🙏

I wanted to knit the KCD1 hood and found a pretty close Pattern called Friend of the Forest Hood - by Gretchen Tracy.

I am not a good knitter. It took me ages and a lot of frogging. I also ballsed up the crown and just stitched it into shape - but! With the little hole added and the messy stitching, I think I did a pretty decent job ^_^

If I do it again, I'm using a thinner yarn and making the brim a but wider at the bottom, tapering in.

Modelled by the dog because she's prettier than me. And the yarn is Sirdar Hayfield Bonus in Deep Red.

My Ornata Blouse begins. But make it Andor & Ferrix related...

This roving is a plying pair from my friend a Green Goat Ranch! It's called 'Rix Road' after the beautiful finale of Andor and she NAILED it. I'm literally over the moon for this and am actually framing 2 of the batts she made, just to have as art!

I'm spinning the colorwork portion of the blouse myself and sourcing the MC elsewhere, since I need like 2k yards...

Spindle is Snyder Spindles' "Sci-fi" Turkish Spindle.

Roving is Green Goat Ranch in Rix Road colorway.

For me, it's definitely The Night Circus. Especially this time of year, because of the autumnal vibes of all the witches, carnivals, and candy apples. Plus, the Cirque de Rêves did start in October! Seen here with my current knitting WIP, a big red wrap prefect for any rêveur 😍
