I just HAD to quickly make something for the 40 year anniversary of the legend of Zelda series (even though I am super busy today 🤣)

The Legend of Zelda-- song is Anchorage by Marian Call

“So ground me in the only house I own” Wind waker link contentedly looking out over Outset Island

“Forgive my abscence, love” Wolf Link in the dark looking at the glowing windows of a home in ordon village

“and teach me to live” Deku Link running through dark, scary woods

“Teach me to live” Twilight Princess Link being taught swordfighting by OOT skeleton Link

“to live alone” Link to the past Zelda sitting in a cell alone

“No, no no” Spirit tracks Zelda and Link performing the climactic duo together

“See me down, see me down, to the edge of the wild” BOTW Link climbing a cliffside

“Stroll me out to the end of the pier” Link’s Awakening Link looks out from a stormy beach

“Reel me in to the places we knew our own faces” Wind Waker Zelda looks uncertain, backlit by a triforce stained-glass window

“Over wine, over coffee, and beer” Skyward Sword Link and Zelda sit on the platform of the goddess statue, eating pumpkin soup while birds fly in the sky behind them

“anchor me” is repeated six times, each time the frame changing to a different link and zelda pair: Link to the Past, Ocarina of time (young), Adult Link and Sheik, Ocarina of Time (adult), Link and Tetra, Wind Waker Link and Zelda

“See me down, see me down, to the edge of the wild” Link to the Past Link finds the Master Sword in a misty woods

“Stroll me out to the end of the pier” Wind Waker Link looks out from the rock beach of Windfall Island

“Reel me in to the places we knew our own faces” Sheik pulls down his mask, smiling

“Over wine, over coffee, and beer” Young OOT Link and Zelda drink milk at Lon Lon ranch with a sunset over Hyrule field.

“Anchor me” is repeated with Link and Zelda pairs as before: 4 Swords (with 4 links), Minish cap (and stone Zelda), Wolf Link and Zelda, Twilight Princess Link and Zelda, Spirit Tracks Link and Spirit Zelda, Skyward Sword Link and Zelda from the beginning and end of the game, BOTW Link and Zelda in her goddess dress, BOTW 2 Link and Zelda, and finally Original Link and Zelda.  Their frame changes to a hug.  The background of all “anchor me” frames transitions from a sunrise to sunset to sunrise again.  It fades into orange and the credits say “Anchorage by Marian Call.  art by AndStuffSketches on tumblr. Chapter 5 part 22! Wood must really feel safe around Pinkie to say not one but two whole sentences, and Pinkie gives up a really special memento. But alas, we must still say goodbye.
