Alan Davis's art for 1990's Wolverine: Bloodlust (an excellent story published between his two very good runs on Excalibur).
Wolverine - Bloodlust
Wolverine was connected to some ancient species, Neuri, that needed his help in stopping some corrupt and evil part of their own people.
The Neuri pack has found Alpha Aryn Neuri of Albion. He is aged 137 and is a demigod werewolf.
He was born to werewolves, raised in a happy pack and turned when he was old enough to handle the change. It’s always been his life, a good life, and one he’s always shared with the nomadic pack that is always growing. Who wouldn’t want to be a werewolf, after all? It’s in his blood, the son of the last Alpha, and of the wolf goddess, Morrighan.
His opinion on the treaty is curious to see how it’ll play out, but he will unite all Werewolves under the Neuri banner with him as their Alpha with his mate.
Connections:
Mrs & Mr Briar: he heard of another werewolf pack existing on Atlantis, and checked to make sure he wasn’t breaking any territory rules.
He also has connections to the the Neuri pack.

EXAMPEUS: NAGA MOTHER, NEURI BROTHER
We gather to become.
Blessed be; Great grandmother Naga.
We gather to transform.
Blessed be; Her essence reflected in this union.
We gather to dissolve.
Blessed be; This moment in which the axis of time becomes obsolete.
This gathering brings the extatic chants of the Neuri to the throne of divine snakes.
Blessed be; The transforming bliss of awakening!
Reanimated in love for your essence!
