The short answer to this is basically that they don't excite me.

I'm most definitely a Soffer/Jay stan as most would know, especially @halsteadlover lmao. And I enjoy most of the Jay-centric episodes but I've never felt particularly invested in any of Jay's ships.

I think after Erin left, I was already pretty meh about the setup of Jay dating his partner again, even though I could kinda see where it was heading, so it never really got me excited about the ship. I would have been more than happy to continue seeing them as really good friends/partners. So this ship didn't do much for me even though I like both Jay and Hailey.

i compare doing schoolwork to trying to walk but you don't have bones. like. the bones just aren't there. you can't do it!

it doesn't hurt TO do it, it's not incomprehensible or painful, you know WHAT to do and HOW to do it, but you just. can't.

and once you push yourself to do it it feels like the most intense mental agony you've ever felt. you don't fucking have bones. they're gone!
