☂️ Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow ☂️ . QOTD: Recommend a magical book. . I read Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend for the @magicalgirlsociety book club. . This is the first book in a series and it follows Morrigan Crow who is a cursed child who is destined to die on her eleventh birthday. Instead she is whisked away by the strange Jupiter North and is set to compete for a place in the Wunder Society. . I had so much fun reading this book! The world was so magical and I really enjoyed getting to know Morrigan. She's such an interesting person. The mystery surrounding her and the other characters in the world of Nevermoor kept me wanting to know what happens next. I've been seeing so many @owlcrate posts today, that it reminded me I forgot to share the #OwlCrate and #OwlCrateJr boxes I got the other day! Both of these boxes are from the Past Boxes section of their store. 😍❤ . . . . On the left in the first photo above, I have the OwlCrate box. This is the box from February 2017, the #RunAwayWithTheCircus box. . Its contents are in the second photo. I got #Caraval by @stephanie_garber and a Night Circus tote from @eviebookish! 😄 . . . . The third photo shares a close-up of the smaller items in this box: a casino-themed notepad from @atticjournals; a Le Cirque des Rêves candle from @frostbeardmpls; fun page flags from @girlofallwork; a mini-donut lip balm from @geekfirelabs; and the @owlcrate pin! 😍 . . . . First finished book of 2018 (what a great way to start this account)🎉 Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend is an absolutely delightful book. Others have described it as Harry Potter meets Alice in Wonderland, and it’s hard not to agree with them. The story is captivating and never loses pace, and the characters are well fleshed out and believable, along with the world they inhabit. If you like the Skulduggery Pleasant series or Doctor Who, I would highly recommend that you check this one out.
