So sorry for the delay lulu and my other 3 followers😔🙏had the busiest weeks of my life.

But still wanted to do this very good request!!

They are wearing the traditional Ottoman Empire wedding dress and suit. I was actually unsure of which kind of "traditional" dresses to draw bcs turkish history is very deep and detailed so there was tons of eras i couldve drawn lol.

Turkish history ahead btw because i like to yap about my country lol

What annabel wearing is called "bindallı" and used to be worn in weddings but nowadays people go for the european style white dresses. But we still do wear it in an event called "kına" which is mostly all-girls party before marriage (i love those lol)

And they do traditional things like applying henna to the brides hands and also her mother-in-law putting gold in her hand etc. They also make the bride cry (turks used to marry girls who is from seven towns away so the bride cries because she wont be seeing her family so often) but i didnt draw it bcs im sure that annabels not gonna miss Ira and too in love with Lenore to cry about not seeing him lmao.

Also annabels wearing a golden belt which used to be real gold! The father or someone elder from her family used to give the bride a golden belt so if she is unhappy with her marriage , she can sell the belt and return to her family.

And the tulip motifs!! (sorry I hope they're visible enough , ran out of red colored pencil so painted the dress with red crayon sob)

They are originally discovered by Turkish tribes and they started to grow it in their country! Then it became a symbol of Ottoman Empire and generally our flower hehe
