In honor of angry crying at Newcon for being dumb I made this for all of us during this trying time.

A special con guide for minors first times at con
If you’re a minor and it’s your first con, you’re gonna be excited, and I’m glad for that! However there are a lot of things you need to be careful of, so here’s a list.
1. If you’re in cosplay, check ages of who wants to do shipping pictures with you. If they’re over eighteen, you have the right to say no, and even if you do, kissing them or so on for the picture isn’t okay.
2. Be mindful of people who comment/interract with you, especially in character. Again, if they are eighteen plus, you have the right to be uncomfortable and tell them you don’t want to.
3. It is very likely someone over 18 will adopt you as their con child. Most con parents are safe, but to be sure, if they weird you out, trust your instincts.
4. Lastly, please drink water, be safe, and DO NOT LIE ABOUT YOUR AGE.

Basically, the Portland lolita community brought Wunderwelt Lolita Fashion to Newcon and they sold via proxy in the dealer’s hall. Newcon thanked Wunderwelt by withholding their $2000 in profits and claimed they “accidentally” used them. As of now, Wunderwelt is 3 months past when they were supposed to be paid.
DO NOT SUPPORT NEWCON. There has been a lot said over the years, and this is the 5th year in a row where some sort of issue like this has come to light. The con chair (Michael Anderson) is known to embezzle convention funds for his own use.
Please share and spread the word, do not support a con that doesn’t pay its dealers or guests.
