venus  had  freed  her  afternoon  to  hang  out  with  lily,  but  the  two  didn't  actually  have  any  plans.  BUT  THAT  WASN'T  A  PROBLEM  !  venus  could  always  figure  things  out.  “we  could  see  a  movie  ?  it  wouldn't  give  us  a  ton  of  time  to  catch  up,  though,  and  i  feel  like  i  haven't  seen  you  in  forever  !  maybe  we  could  go  to  coastal  ?”

in  the  back  of  his  mind,  sometimes  he  wondered  what  happened  between  them.  he  understood  friends  grew  up,  but  with  her  back  in  town,  it  felt  like  they  barely  talked  to  one  another  outside  of  work.  even  while  at  work,  they  didn't  see  each  other  that  much.  nonetheless,  enzo  did  miss  their  friendship  and  hoped  deep  down  they  could  be  close  again.  “hey,”  he  spoke  softly  after  reaching  her  table  at  the  teachers'  lounge.  “is  this  spot  taken?”  a  finger  pointed  at  the  chair  beside  her's.
