I spent most of my day playing with clay

A mixed bag today.
I got in early to try and get going on the family of flowers.
Left, is more materials.
Right is a 3foot hook that I'll build the flower sculpture on.
I covered it with chicken wire so as to feed wire etc through it.
A Few more.
I rolled up leftover fabric into flower shapes, put a stitch in them and will attach them to the pole.
I tried sewing them on but I think the hot glue gun might work better.
In the afternoon, Yvonne gave me the best tip
To get the pole to stand while I'm working on it, stabilise it with Newplast clay.
This is an oil based clay, similar to play dough but it won't dry out for a year or so.
No worries about handling it.
It's cheap to buy.
Can be used for what I needed but is a great clay for animation characters.
It's a light as a feather.
Can be painted on the create details on hands or face etc.
You can mix the colours to create a colour.
Magic stuff.
