“Make me repeat myself one more time, I dare you.”
“Yes! Yes yes, of cours- Wait, you were talking to me, right? Because if not, then I’m super embarrassed and I can just, walk away? If that’s okay. Or I can keep talking and pretend you were talking to me, because that might make it seem less awkward in the long run.”
He had- Matt had killed someone.
It hadn’t even been 24 hours and the guilt was so fucking overwhelming. He couldn’t sleep, couldn’t think, couldn’t breathe because he had just killed someone in cold blood. Every second his eyes were closed, the gunshot rang through his ears. That last cry for help echoed throughout the room and the stench of blood threatened to send him into another panic attack. So he fought to keep his eyes open, his fingers trembling.
He was a murderer.
“I can’t-- I can’t leave.”
Flynn had gone to his own happy place, a quiet little area in the forest, surrounded by shrubbery. The bruising on his fist had darkened to the point where he couldn’t hide it, but he truly didn’t care. When he heard a rustle coming from behind him, he raised his voice just loud enough to be heard. “I’m not really in a mood, right now.”
John Winchester had only been alive for a few weeks, but it didn’t take him long to find his way to Sioux Falls. He still wasn’t entirely caught up on all the events that seemed to transpire since his death, but he had gotten the gist of it. Angels, demons, an apocalypse that always seemed to threaten humanity at every turn. And in every story he’d heard, his sons seemed to be the center of attention.
According to anyone he spoke to, Sioux Falls was the place to be. It was supposed to be crawling with the Supernatural, which meant that was exactly the place that Sam and Dean would go-- or so John hoped. He hadn’t expected to find himself stuck there, but he hadn’t given up hope yet.
He was just getting settled into a motel when he felt the figure approach him from behind. It took all of his will to turn around slowly, eyeing them up. “Can I help you?”
“I’ve gotta say, took me awhile to get used to it, but I’m really liking this look.”
“I don’t know why you’re yelling at me, I don’t even work here.”
