No political parties (LoopLand Palau)
There are such places, not a fairy tale, not a dream, this is such a country. We visited Palau, where, as you understand from the name, there are no political parties. The head of the country is the President, and the legislature is the Senate and House of Delegates.
Do you like jellyfish? What about a couple of bites from these wonderful creatures? Douglas decided to try his luck and swim in the jellyfish lake. You should have seen how our wanderer jumped out of the water as soon as one of these small creatures came into contact with him. An amazing sight!
After Douglas boasted to everyone of his achievement, one of the local residents told our traveler the following fact: due to the absence of natural enemies in the lake, jellyfish have lost their ability to sting. They put our wanderer to shame...
On this, the next episode of the program came to an end, thanks for your attention! And remember that the capital of Palau since 2006 is Ngerulmud, and the former capital is the city of Koror!

Sunday, 7/5, Ngardmau Falls and Ngerulmud
After the 4th, we spent the Sunday as a group as well. After looking at an amazing view from our apartment’s roof, we spent the day on Babeldoab, with our primary destination being Ngardmau Falls. Babeldoab is Palau’s largest island, taking about an hour to fully go around it by car. The falls were located about halfway around the island from Koror and were a bit of a hike to get to, but it was a really beautiful place. Unfortunately, my photos are on my camera, which makes them a bit harder to get online, but I will post them soon.
After the hike, we ended up stopping by the capitol, Ngerulmud. It is a pretty surreal complex, given its remote location. It also looks a lot like the US capitol. This was the most driving I had done by far, but Babeldoab is quite scenic, so it was very enjoyable.
