I’m watching the replay/highlights of the Bruins vs Hurricanes from last night because it’s what’s on Sportsnet One before the Blue Jays game.

The fact that I know what happens to Svechnikov is making me really sad. Remembering what Jack Edwards said about it is making my blood boil.

Nobody deserves that, no matter how physical of a sport they play. The dude is 20 fucking years old and he wasn’t putting pressure on his knee as he went off the ice. Like. How heartless does Jack have to be to say someone who is barely an adult deserves that for doing literally the opposite of what he said he was doing??? From what I saw, Chara was the one that initiated the contact. Svechnikov did NOT “poke the bear.” The fucking bear poked him. Jack Edwards needs to get the fuck off his high horse. Svechnikov’s health is far more important than stroking Chara’s ego. In conclusion, Jack Edwards deserves to be called Jack Asswards. I also hope Svechnikov (and Kevin Pollock because he got hit in the face with the puck) is going to be okay.
