After a long day of work, Nicholas loves nothing more than to come home to you. Maybe it was a little old fashioned, but his favorite moment of the day was coming back to your apartment after a long day of practice and collapsing into your arms. Lately, the two of you had picked up a new tv show, staying up late into the night just enjoying each other's company.
Tonight was one of those nights, both of you cuddled up on the couch, your hands gently stroking through your boyfriend's hair, the two of you intently watching the screen.
You looked away from the screen when you heard soft laughter coming from the boy beside you, and you turned to look at him fondly. He rested his chin on his palm, a small smile hidden behind his hand. Nicholas looked up at you curiously when he realized you had stopped rubbing his head.
"You okay, baby?" he asked, pushing a strand of hair out of your face as your cheeks flamed at being caught staring.
"Yup." you said simply, turning back to the tv. He shook his head at your weird behavior, shifting his attention back to the show.
This seemed to be a particularly funny episode, as it wasn't long before you heard that giggle again. You couldn't help but smile at Nicholas' cute laughter. It sounded as angelic as the tinkling of bells, and you practically launched yourself at him, peppering his face with kisses as he laughed at you, wrapping his arms around your waist as the two of you collapsed.
"What's gotten into you?" he chuckled, holding you gently, as you kissed the tip of his nose.
"You're just so cute." you said fondly, admiring the bright smile on his face as he listened to you. "I can't focus on the show when you're giggling like that."
"Aw, am I that distracting?" he said teasingly, and you swatted at him. He brought the two of you upright, pulling you into his arms as you sat comfortably on his lap. "I’ll try not to laugh too hard."
"No, I like it. You're more entertaining than the show anyway." you said sweetly, and he leaned down to press a kiss on your cheek.
