Melendez Appreciation Week Day 5: Moments or Plotlines You Would Have Liked to See:

- Melendez and his family

2x4 with the introduction of Gabi and Melendez's clear strong attitudes towards his family left open the possibility for a story. I wanted it to be told. It didn't get told.

- More of Melendez's life outside work. We get to meet Claire's college roomate, and watch Park go on a date with his ex-wife. I wantsd to see what Melendez did outside of work. Other than a handful of scenes with Jessica, Claire, and 3x20, we didn't see a lot of what Melendez did with his time.

- Melendez getting to be a father.

It was set up as such an important plot line that caused him to break off a serious relationship.... and then it just was forgotten about. Huh?

-Tattoo meanings

Call me basic, because everyone else in the fandom wanted to see it too, but it seemed like there were stories and meanings, because neck tattoos hurt like hell, so a person wouldn't be likely to just get one with no explanation.

- Scenes with Lim.

I can get down with Limlendez and Melendaire, but I feel like there just wasn't a ton of Limlendez screen time not revolving around them bickering about work.

Watching The Good Doctor 3x12 with my mom, the prom scene right after Claire and Melendez start to dance.

Mom: Aww, they would make a nice couple, but they would be at each other's throats.

Me: What??

Mom: Didn't he fire her, or try to get her fired?

Me: No, he didn't want to work with her when he felt that she went behind his back and she was feeling repressed, but that was last season. They're past that.

Mom: Well they do look good together.

Me (thinking: Hell yeah they do. All that chemistry! The eyes say it all 👀): Mhmm.
