What If we become Doctors.
Grey's Anatomy, 18x06 - "Everyday Is a Holiday (With You)"
dynamics i've been wanting to gif: meredith & nick - grey's anatomy I know my life is crazy. And I know I can't stop people from coming in the door every five minutes and interrupting absolutely everything that I do. But I do know that I love you. So if that's what you need to hear, I'll say it as many times as you need to hear it.
as someone who doesn’t watch the new seasons of grey’s, finding out meredith and nick are engaged made me realize that i keep tabs on these characters like people i went to high school with. like oh, she’s engaged! that’s good for her :)
Grey's Anatomy 22x18
So the Owen scare took about 5 seconds huh. Oh well, the man got to play hero one more time, fair enough and good for him. I think he and Teddy got the exit they deserved after all these years, and I won't lie, I did feel those montages (20 years with these people is a long time!). Just ignoring the always crazy fact that people quit their job there just to walk out that same day and wishing them the best - characters as well as actors!
The Nick situation didn't feel too scary either, in the end it almost felt more like how to get Bailey in there, instead of how to got Nick out of there. It's also hard to care that much about characters (incl Mer) who are hardly ever around. Of course it would have been super sad if she lost another (almost) husband, but how are we supposed to feel along with her and join her on that ride if she's hardly there?
I really tried, but I'm just not feeling the Jules and Winston thing. It's like watching highschoolers, with hardly any chemistry, and it honestly feels like working to picture them as a serious couple now.
Talking about couples, Jo and Link this season are as tiring as Owen and Teddy were the last few. They're either boring or annoying, which is sad cause in other combinations they did work (Jo, despite not one of my favs, was great with Alex, and I loved Link with Amelia). After this week I'm ready to wave them goodbye.
I do like Kwan, so I hope he actually stays!
I'm not ready to talk about Amelia (and Toni) yet. My head's a bit all over the place about them.
This might sound weird, since I realize I might sound 80% complaining, but it's gonna be a long summer.......

Random Grey's Anatomy Opinions (Part Five)
Catherine's cancer coming back is an arc that has happened at least 4 times, so the emotional impact is just non-existent at this point.
Along with the last opinion, Webber needs to either die or finally retire because there's just no emotional weight to his issues anymore.
Paralleling Schmitt as chief resident to Bailey was so interesting, and I think it would've been fun to lean into that dynamic more.
Lucas and Simone are actually really wholesome, and I hope they end up together.
Grey's Anatomy is very sex-positive, which is fine (I could do without the intimate scene pretty much every episode, but this is pretty much a soap opera, so), but it's got a huge problem with people who don't really want romance or are virgins (I'm pretty sure if an ace-spec or aro-spec character walked into that hospital, the entire cast would be flabbergasted).
Yes, the show fell off after Cristina left (she was one of the best characters and was the one who made the show iconic), but the later seasons do have some really awesome storylines and characters.
Jules has two hands for a reason, and they're for holding the hands of her boyfriend and her girlfriend (I love her relationships with Blue AND Mika, okay).
The fact that so many seasons went by without giving Helm a real love interest before Mika was messed up because she deserved some of that love she desired (and she's hot as hell).
I understand that Nick is primarily Meredith's love interest, but I thought it was a shame that they moved Nick to Boston for her when he was a really great Residency Director and the writers developed a interesting mentor-mentee relationship with Lucas.
As shitty as Owen was, Burke was not much better, and Cristina deserved a love interest who was actually good to her (my vote was Teddy).
