I got like 6 junk boxes from @shiftythrifting lol I loved the stuff I got but there's lots, a bit too much to describe
My mum: Why do you hoard so much junk?
Me in my head: because if I don't hold onto physical momentos I'll forget who I am and what I've done. All the moments that make me me will disappear and with it so will I. I'll die. The first step to dying is being forgotten, if I don't have physical things to remember and be remembered by I'll be forgotten. I'll be lost before I'm even dead. Any trace of me will disappear before I'm even really gone.
Me to her: I just like cool nick nacks
(Can you tell I'm having a crisis)

As someone who worked in fire insurance at one point here’s a tip: Take a picture of EVERYTHING you own. Go through each room in your house/apt. & take shots of all your nick knacks, essentials, food(yes they will replace/pay out food), furniture, etc.Not only does it make the process go faster but it also ensures that you are going to get the proper replacement/compensation. Nothing is worse than having to sort through your house in your head after your house is burned down, flooded etc. I guarantee you will forget items not remember what the items were called or how much they cost. Also it makes it harder for the insurance company to question what you are asking them to replace or give you money for. A lot of times things got held up because they either didn’t believe that person had that item or they questioned the value of an item.
shiny and nice and good★☆✧✦
So I've been feeling pretty bleg lately (changing my meds so everything is mucked up right now) so I decided to go look at some old bits'n'bobs shops and found some beautiful peices for my work/alter! I may or may not have gone to Kmart/Red Dot and gotten some more candles and oils 😂 So, starting from pic 1 (2 & 3 are a closer view) we have: - A new sprakly file to start compiling my notes etc. before I write them into my "proper" BoS - A blue notebook for research and such (never enough notebooks for a stationary addict!) - A small purple notebook (stationaaaary!) - An exacto knife set (I plan on carving some witchy stuff soon) - A 6 pack of white taper candles - 3 wick bowl candle - Sandalwood incense sticks - A clear Jar (I swear, Witches and their jars 😂) - Wooden buttons, small metal discs and some metal feathers for spells work and spell jars (scrapbooking supplies ftw) - 6 x40 packs of incense cones (lemongrass and ginger, passion, relaxation, patchouli, sandalwood and eucalyptus flavours :P ) - x4 pack of small glass corked jars - x 5 pack of small/long glass corked jars - x6 essential oils for diffusion (sweet orange, peppermint, 'success', 'hope', 'friendship' and 'happiness' flavours) - x5 small candles (indonesion teak, coconut, lemongrass, midnight lilac and affrican sunset flavours) - 1 meduim candle - x2 large candles (white gardinia and orange tropic flavours) Pic 4 is my nick-nack and 2nd hand store finds <3 - 1 clear saucer (with fish scale patterning on the back) - An ammonite shaped dish - A long handled candle snuffer - A small chalice - 2 small silver candle holders - A large tealight stand - A potpourri holder with birds/forrest cover detailing - A long steamed brass vase - A silver full dome closure bowl All of it cost just under $123AUD which it's damn good :O Seriously. The best day I've had for a while and my big kitty seems to approve of my purchases 😂 I'm off to clean my new pretties <3
Rainbow nick-nacks
