Tamagotchi Sponsored 2024 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Mexico

We love the recent attention that Bandai Namco is giving Mexico, and we love Mexico! The 2024 Nickelodeon Mexico Kid’s Choice Awards took place on Saturday, November 16th, 2024 at the National Auditorium in Mexico, and was broadcasted on television on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024.

There were lots of sponsors, and Tamagotchi was one of them! The folks at Bandai Mexico must have been hard at work to make this happen! There was even a brief commercial spot to mention the sponsorship.

There were some influencers on the red carpet showing off their Tamagotchi’s!

Three talented, but overlooked superheroes here. Robin is always in the shadow of the bat, Gambit is a seemingly forgotten member of the X-Men, and Donatello doesn’t always get the credit he deserves from the other Turtles. 

Gambit can charge objects, causing them to explode. He relies on that a lot in battle, but we’ve seen glimpses of his skill in hand-to-hand combat. He doesn't have super strength, though. Donatello is strong, durable, and has ninja skills. Quite the combination! Then there’s Robin. He has no superpowers, but does have gadgets and fighting ability. He’s done well against some of Batman’s enemies, even if he doesn’t win the entire fight.

It’s a interesting clash of personalities, too. Gambit is kind of a mix between Raphael and Michelangelo. Robin has shown a temper in the past. Donatello is usually less brash than his fellow turtles, but has some one-liners of his own.

I’m not sure who has the advantage here. My initial reaction is Donatello. He’s smart, has more strength than Gambit, and has speed, too. Gambit has his meant powers, though. Robin could probably hold his own against Gambit for a while. I’m not sure if the fight favors him if it lasts longer. Then again, he could let Gambit and Donnie bruise each other up before entering the fray.

This could go any way, but I have to stick with my gut. The teenage turtle is the most well-rounded of this bunch, so he takes it.

Winner: Donatello
