Danny was off on a trip with his family, so he had left him and Sam in charge of the portal. Sam had a biology exam to study for, so Tucker made her go home despite her protests.

He had remembered his exact instructions, “if any ghosts escape, text me right away!”

So with nothing else better to do, Tucker sat on a lawn chair in the Fenton’s basement, holding his PDA and a bag of potato chips.

He would look up at the portal now and then, somewhat secretly wishing a ghost would pop out, something to ease his boredom.

After about an hour and a half, Tucker wasn’t sure if he could survive any longer.

“I should really join a club or something”, he said to himself. The boy had too much time on his hands, almost no one to talk to.

Of course, he loved Danny and Sam, he wouldn’t trade them for the world.

But he had no one to share his love of technology, no one to fanboy about his new gadgets with him, no one who had the slightest interest if any of his “geek” related hobbies.

The boy was so lost in his thoughts, he didn’t notice the spirit in the room until he started talking.

“I am Technus! Ghost Master of Science and Electrical Techno-”

“Aw crap!” the boy exclaimed, fiddling with his PDA, trying to text Danny as fast as he could.

“What are you doing? Pay attention! I am Technus, Ghost Mas-”

“I know who you are Technus.”

“What!? Why are you so calm? I could destroy you right now, I cou-, hey! what’s that?” Technus pointed to the gadget in Tucker’s hand.

“What? This? It’s my PDA.”

“No, that’s a O2 Xda PDA. I haven’t seen one of those in years!”

Tucker looked down at his dated device. “Well, it is pretty old. I was planning on getting a new one, but I just don’t have the money.”

“Can’t you ask your friends to get you one?”

“I could, but it doesn’t really seem right, y’know?”

Tucker sat back down in his chair. “It gets pretty lonely around here sometimes”

The ghost looked down at his hands, “I was pretty lonely as a kid too”. He sat down next to him. “Barely had any friends, would get bullied a lot..”

Tucker looked up and suddenly felt something he never thought he would ever think about a ghost.

Pity.

Technus was once a boy. A living, breathing, human boy, just like him. All ghosts were once living, breathing, humans. Humans who had actually died. They had all had their own loneliness. They all had issues.

“Hey, uh, Technus?”

“Mmph?”

“This is probably gonna sound weird, but can you tell me more about your childhood.”

The ghost hesitated, and smiled.

“Of course”

Miniature breeds are quieter, as theyre MUCH smaller. Hobo breeds also stay quiet due to their roaming nature. A juggler might be best, however, as theyre the best at caring for people and other clowns
