Oh fuck, my mind did a thing

-So in s3, mileven is still together. They don't act as lovey dovey as they did earlier, and they are more like brother and sister.

-Lumax broke up prior to S3, but Lucas and max are still friends and stuff.

-Will Is Obviously My Gay Son, but he's not out yet to everyone. He's still questioning, but he tells Max and Dustin that he likes mike anyways and they are supportive. Dustin almost lets it slip like all the time while talking to mike

-His crush on Mike is soooo obvious to everyone but mike

-dustin's had a low-key crush on Lucas for forever, but he hasn't said anything, and nobody knows. He's scared Steve will be disappointed.

-el and max aren't rivals or anything (that storyline was stupid, moving on...) El actually likes spending time with max cuz max teaches her how to skateboard and stuff. Max loves this bc she can high-key flirt with Eleven, but El kind of takes it as friendly gestures, because she has only been exposed to hetero-norms and doesn't know what is happening when she starts to get feelings for her.

-Mike is drifting away from Eleven, and he spends a lot of time alone because he is Emo™, and Will is a dork, so he hangs out with him. Will and Mike get even closer, but still as friends.

-Dustin and Lucas are both single af and they are all like "hey we should get gfs for eachother" so that's what they try. Lucas nearly recommends max to Dustin, because "hey, that's who we both liked last year" but he doesn't. Both fail miserably at finding gfs for the other because they're trying to flirt like ALL THE TIME (I think this is cute shut up it's 2:30 am). Then one day Dustin tries to be slick and walks up to Lucas, hair styled (courtesy of Momma Steve, Who Supports Dustin His Son, After He Comes Out As Queer Because He Knows How Important This Is To Him), and he's all like "I couldn't get you a gf and you couldn't get me one either, so maybe we aren't meant to have girlfriends" and lucas is like ??? Because he's so confused because wtf, but then Dustin KISSES him and they smile like the nerds they are.

-Eleven and Mike are sort of falling apart, and when Eleven asks what Dustin and Lucas mean when they announced they're dating, Mike is all like "oh that means they like someone who is the same gender" and the voice in El's head is all cracked and it says "oH fUcK tHaT's Me" because Eleven is starting to realise she never really liked Mike, and she only was with him because he was her best friend. Then El sort of dumps Mike, saying she might like the same gender as her own. Strangely enough, Mike isn't hurt by this news, and he supports her instead. When Mileven announces that they broke up because Eleven is Gay as Fuck, Max starts dancing in her mind

-Meanwhile, Will's crush on Mike grew, and he's realized he's in freaking love with the guy. Will starts to talk to Max, who is still single af, and Max comes out to him, and they sort of become closeted besties. Max's crush on El grew, because in her confusion, Eleven began to talk to El even more. Once, El and Will are alone, and she tells him she likes Max ,and Will panics and doesn't tell her that max likes her back, so he's trying to be supportive of El, but he's dying because he doesn't know how to say Listen Up, Max Loves You Too.

-later, max notices her friend isn't the same and she asks Will what's up.and he turns to her in horror. But he tells her what El told him, and Max is PISSED.

-"Why didn't you tell her I.... You know..????"

-Max marches all the way to Hopper's cabin and knocks on the door really fiercely, but when Eleven opens the door she sorta freezes.

-They're standing there for like the entire duration of an entire Hayley Kiyoko song, so during that time, the Queerness™ really starts to seep in, and Eleven kisses her super randomly and they are standing there as if it's a movie moment. (Leave me alone it's almost 3 am and I should have slept at least three hours ago).

-Will nearly cries when they tell him what happened.

-The same night that this happened, Max and Will had been at Mike's house, and when Max leaves, there's this awkward sort of silence.

-Then when Max returns and tells them what happens Mike says something like "oh I guess we're the only single ones now, right?" To Will, who's really blushing, and he's looking at Max like omg what

-Mike asks himself why he said that over a course of a few weeks, during which he also studies Will. He notices how Will always leans closer to him whenever he's saying something, or how his eyes widen whenever he's paying close attention to someone.

-Mike is so confused and scared because he's been raised in a really homophobic home, so he doesn't know how to feel when he realises he's bi.

-He hides his feelings for a really long time, and he starts to fall into a depression, and he avoids Will, who is super sad because what did he do to deserve that?

-Finally Mike blurts it out to Nancy, who doesn't exactly act negatively, but she's a bit taken aback, and she needs time to adjust to the idea of her younger brother being bi. Eventually she comes around, and things are cool.

-Nancy gives excellent advice about boys,.and she asks Mike who he likes and he's like "Will" which doesn't actually surprise Nancy, because as said earlier EVERYONE knew Will liked Mike except for Mike, and Mike must finally like him back.

-Mike invites Will over to apologize for estranging himself.

-at dinner Will and Mike talk a lot about how Mike was sorry and stuff. Later, Mike tells Will it was because he was questioning his sexuality, and he realised he was bi.

-And Will was like "but what does that have to do with me????" Because he doesn't realize that Mike totally loves him and then Mike kisses him and there you have it I just made all your gay ships canon thank you for attending my late night ted talk you are very very very welcome.
