Bit of a random ask but how would the dreamtale bros and Nightfall react with an S/o who loves to give them gifts of any kind (that the skellies like of course! & also what kind of gits do the the skellies like?)
Just forget about Solar, I guess haha. I'm joking I'm joking, don't worry. I'm happy Nightfall is getting the love that he deserves.
Nightmare: When you gave him some old books, he would stare at you for a few seconds, squinting. He isn't used to people trying to give him things for no reason other than, you know, them wanting to... "Hm" he starts, "Thank you," he reaches over, taking the book looking down at it rubbing his thumb over the covering. "I will read this later, it is a good gift" he turns away, moving the book up trying to cover the fact that he was smiling. The more often you give him gifts, he will start to return the favor by giving you a few as well. He finds the fact that you're doing this honestly, a little funny and quite adorable.
Dream: Honestly, any type of gift you give him he's going to love. It could literally be a rock that you found on the ground and said made you think about him. He'll protect that rock and keep it no matter what! He loves it. So, each and every time that you give him a gift, expect him to kiss your cheek to thank you and he'll start to get you things as well... There are a few, very rare, things that he wouldn't like. Maybe nothing that reminds him of his brother or the villagers like... he can't really eat pie! It makes him scared/nervous/sick to his stomach that he doesn't even have.
Nightfall: The first time you give him the gift, he's going to be a little confused and shocked. Were you really giving him a gift? Just... because you wanted to? Why? What was he... should he do something back for you? What did you want from him? It'll take a few days for him to really realize that you're doing it for no reason, other than the fact that you wanted to. His favorite types of gifts are ones that are either handmade or have a lot of thought behind them... sometimes he likes the ones that are random too though! "I saw it and thought of you" it's enough to make him melt. He's so embarrassed.
The chorus of Enemy by Imagine Dragons after that first verse is what really inspired this drawing. Daybreak wasn’t oblivious to what was happening to Nightfall, but his brother would never admit to him what was wrong and he didn’t want to act out, but he is so tired of being perfect when the people who pretend to adore him turn around and abuse his brother.
So yes, a little bit of pre-corruption Daybreak and Nightfall, as adults.
