The thing about the Night Nurse is that I get her. If Kashi, a man who is kind and hot and eclectic, gave me a glowing ring, I would undergo Character Growth too. In fact, I might let myself be consumed by the sea monster if it meant hanging out with Kashi

My opinions on dbda ships with explanations

Payneland: yes, it combines many of my favourite tropes. (Codependent/pos, detectives, grumpy×sunshine, etc) love them!! Absolutely endgame, and already semi canon anyway.

Palaski: yes because i feel like they could bond over their families not being very present in their lives, and then bond over,,,everything else.

Catwin: well. This...im complicated about. The age thing? Dont really care too much, its fantasy, whatever, ages are usually a little wacky. The sexual coercion though. Um. Perhaps not. Maybe. I have a love-hate relationship with catwin. probably not endgame, but...possible? I dunno.

Cryland: platonically, absolutely. But in a romantic relationship i feel like they blame eachothers issues too much ("you're a sweet guy with a rage problem" & "not everyone is your demon ex boyfriend.") But i do admit that they bond over shared rage and stuff, but in a romantic context it feels like an escape from the current situations going on in the show.

Montwin: yes. Not endgame, but its still nice. Platonically, perhaps, as edwin didnt reciprocate. But i think its nice. I dunno why, i just think it would be a nice friendship.

Catcrow: OKAY I KNOW THIS IS CONTROVERSIAL BUT THINK ABOUT IT. i genuinely love them. Like, shapeshifter × shapeshifter makes possibilities for the whole "You're the only person who really gets it" trope, also theres fighting over the same guy possibilities here, its nice!! Probably not gonna happen in canon, but i like it. Endgame in my mind.

Rowlaski: how did we get here. Please no. Platonically, absolutely. They have shared traits (sunshine people, humor, happy) but not romantically. I dont know i just cant see it.

Cricketcrow: aw! I like it! But not canon or endgame. Still cute :)

Nightfish: YES. "I can fix her" but actually done well lmao. Love it!!

Jenny and Maxine: ..oh.... no. No. If maxine wasnt a psycho, then yeah, but...er....no.

Esther and The Cat King: i feel like it definitely would have happened in the past, and ended bitterly. I mean, the only immortal beings in a small town. Of course theyd be curious. but didnt end well considering the way esther beat him up.
