Super-Charged Anti-Nightmare Protection Enchantment

this is a quick enchantment spray I whipped up because I am completely exhausted with having night terrors every night. my plan for this is to enchant the stuffed animals that I have in my bed, but you could use this for anything connected to your sleep- your pillows, blanket, sleep mask, your mattress… the list goes on.

you will need:

-1 spray bottle

-a chamomile tea bag or two (I use sleepytime extra with valerian- the extra kick for a deep sleep is a nice touch!)

-a crystal you associate with protection or dreams (PLEASE make sure it is NOT a water soluble crystal!)- I use amethyst

-rosemary for sleep and protection

-thyme for nightmare protection and healthy sleep

-bay leaves for protection and good dreams

-cinnamon to protect against psychic attack and for warmth in your dreams

-whatever item you will be enchanting

optional:

-incense to smoke-charge your water (you can use an incense you associate with sleep OR what I do is use an incense I associate with a deity I worship, and use the charging time to pray to Them for protection)

-sigils for nightmare protection (if you can’t or don’t want to make your own, I really like @sigilathenaeum)

to make:

make sure your spray bottle is cleaned and cleansed to your liking. if you’re using sigils, add them with permanent marker to the outside of the spray bottle. (pro tip: I like to add a sigil for strength directly to the outside of the nozzle)

fill the spray bottle 3/4 of the way with water. (pro tip: I use moon water for added strength!)

add your crystal to the water, followed by the tea bag(s), the rosemary, the thyme, and the cinnamon. add the bay leaves last.

close the spray bottle tightly and shake vigorously.

leave the spray bottle for at least 6 hours to infuse itself. if you’re smoke-charging the water or the sigils, now is a good time to do so.

before bedtime (you can do this periodically or do it nightly, whatever feels right to you), spray your item(s) lightly and give them time to dry fully before you lay down for the night. thank the items for protecting you before you sleep :)

BONUS:

if you’d like the additional protection of a spell, feel free to use your own or use mine. repeat the spell each time you spray an item.

I would like to know how can I turn my quartz necklace into a anti-nightmare charm?

First you should charge it up under the sun or moon. Then you can annoint it with sandalwood or bergamot oil which is good for alleviating nightmares.

Chant:

Remember to cleanse and recharge your crystal on a regular basis.

Nightmare Magick

To Prevent Nightmares

Wash an egg in cold water and, with a pencil, write the name of the person afflicted with bad dreams.

Put the egg in a dish, then place it on a nightstand close to the sleeping place of the person.

If the egg cracks or breaks, flush it down the toilet. Repeat the spell until the egg stays intact for 7 days. Flush the remaining egg.

Citrine Nightmare Preventative

Before going to sleep, hold a citrine tightly in your dominant hand and chant:

Stone of joyful yellow light

I give my dreams to you tonight

Grab the bad ones, the rest leave free

So that I may dream peacefully

Place the stone under your pillow.

To End Nightmares

To eradicate nightmares, empower three mullein leaves with the following chant, then place them under your mattress.

Herb of mullein, now absorb

Unpleasant dreams before they form

Bring to me a restful sleep

As I will, so mote it be

Nightmare Spell

Are you plagued by nightmares? This spell can help!

Materials:

scarf (white or cream colors work best)

4 Garlic cloves

pinch of basil

pinch of ground sage

lavender or vanilla oil (whatever you find more soothing)

black marker

white ribbon

💭Lay the scarf out. Place the spices (ground sage, 4 cloves, basil) into the scarf and add 2 drops of oil.

💭Gather the scarf at the top and tie it with the ribbon.

💭On the outside of the scarf draw the nightmare that plagues you (e.g. spiders, falling)

💭Place the scarf under your pillow and sleep with it there. Your nightmares will dissipate.

A step by step guide to making a special charm to help ward off nightmares

Materials:

- A jar or vial

- Lemon Verbena for preventing nightmares

- Lavender for a restful sleep

- Rosemary to ward off nightmares and ease your slumber

- Bay Leaves to induce good dreams

- Jasmine for a restful sleep

- Morning Glory essential oil for good dreams

Instructions:

1. Put all of your materials together into the container of your choosing

2. Make sure the container is sealed properly

3. Place your container under starlight or the full moon to charge

4. After it has charged for one night, keep the container close to your bed when you go to sleep

Nightmare spell

A spell for those who have done you wrong First! You need your target. It's a simple as having a name or a face, a physical picture is handy. Second! You need the nightmare. I love to write it down, every scary, awful detail. Their greatest fears come to life so they can't escape. Third! A small mirror and some ribbon. The colour of the ribbon will change depending on the person. Some make you feel red, others can feel blue. Try to match the colour with the person. Gather everything together and place the photo/name face down on the mirror, focus on all their hate hitting the mirror and flowing back to them. Fold up the nightmare and place it behind the photo. The placement is so they can't escape the nightmare unless they move through their hate. Wrap everything together with the ribbon, as you wrap it, push all the hurt they have caused into it. Make it so. Everything in magic is about your thoughts and your feelings. Use these and push them into the spell When you feel you are done, tie off the ribbon and rest for a while. Keep the spell in a safe place. An alternative is smashing the mirror to cause severe damage to your target but that can also backlash onto you. Have fun and keep fighting the good fight!

The fruits of labor; this is the enchantment I’ve set above my little sister’s bed. She’s a dream seer, and lately she’s been getting a lot of visions that are really throwing her off so I’ve made this up for her.

The string weaving is based off of Native American dream catchers, except I’d rather shove a flaming cactus up my ass than appropriate so I’ve taken the concept and done my own here; the loops which were meant to be triangles but oh well are charmed to catch any bad dreams and in some cases return them to sender.

As for the adorable green baggy, it’s tied to the weaving by string and by the ribbon thingies on the bag; the crystals inside are a piece of rough amethyst, chalcedony flint, mangano calcite, and phrenite. The bayleaves are bound to the closed bag, which has a sigil drawn on both leaves in pernament marker. The bag and crystals had a bath in my strengthening powder and salts before I set them to work.

Now excuse me while I settle down with pasta and try to keep my rabbit away from my apple juicebox-
