Kyoto Xanadu official trailer, second TV commercial - Gematsu

Falcom has released a two-minute trailer and new TV commercial for Kyoto Xanadu, featuring new gameplay cuts and the theme song “From ‘i'” by in-game virtual singer LinoN. The theme song is also available now to download or stream via music services like mora, music.jp, Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.

Kyoto Xanadu is due out for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC via Steam on July 16 in Japan and Asia. A western release is also planned.

i should make a pinned post about myself now that i think about it I'm a 25y/o guy from Italy who likes videogames (mostly JRPGs!), comicbooks and tabletop rpgs

Some of the stuff I'm into is The Trails Series (and Falcom in general) Kagurabachi DC and Marvel comics (big Daredevil guy) Yakuza Series I have a weird obsession with Go Nagai robots

TOKYO XANADU eX+ Finished the game yesterday, at around 40hr of playtime. I thought the game was decent enough, i had a fun time with it, but it lasted like 10 hours too long.

My opinion of this game can basically be summed up with that "it lasted 10 hours too long", as a lot of its problems could have been solved by just making the game shorter. The biggest problem of the game is its lack of depth. Sure, the combat and dungeons are fun, but after a while they become repetitive. Sure, the characters are likeable, but once the arc in their chapter is done they have nothing more to say. It could've been solved, I think, by "compressing" the game a bit more. This issue is most evident in the final chapter and epilogue, where you go through palette swapped dungeons fighting the same bosses and minibosses many many times. Overall I had fun, sure, but i don't reccomend this game unless you already like Falcom games.
