I don't know if you still do them, but some headcanons about Dante finding out his S/O (or Lady) is pregnant?

They didn’t want kids.

So much so that Dante always uses a condom plus Lady birth control. 

Between the two of them, they had enough issues to give a kid lots of therapy material. 

Besides their line of work.

But this kid said Listen I don’t care. 

The theory was: When Lady was trapped in that demon thing her birth control schedule go all over the place. 

And when Dante got back and they had sex for the first time in almost half a year well thing got rough. The fucking condom broke. 

It was like a sperm of Dante had been waiting in the gates of his dick for that exact moment. 

Now pregnant. 

“Are you sure? We had had scares before.”

“Yeah, you’re right… tomorrow I’m going to a clinic to be sure, I mean the six tests can be defective.”

Lady was 3 weeks pregnant. Dante felt… shook. Pregnancy was something that happens to his stupid brother, not to him. 

Obviously, for a couple who didn’t want kids and didn’t have the luxury of even want a normal life, the abortion talk came.

But they were older, they have practically been together one way or another their whole life and now against all odds she was pregnant. 

If this kid wanted so badly to come to this world they would make a place for them. 

Now that the kid was officially their baby Dante started to feel a whole new world of emotions. 

Panic was the one that reigned among the others, even the profound love that he suddenly felt the first time he felt the kid’s kick was tinted by panic and fear.

Nut more than anything he wanted to know their kid, not only seeing them coming to the world but getting to know his kid as a person in the future. 

Also, he wanted to say to his brother that his kid was cuter than Nero.

I'm watching DMC 3 with my mom. We're only about 15 minutes in and she already described Dante as a bit rowdy but with a sovereign posture and Vergil as not inherently evil, but poisoned by something. And that she actually liked that. She also doesn't see any of them as calm and collected.

I think your Mom is very good at reading people - she seems to be on point with both of the twins, and literally no one in this game is calm and collected. XD Impressive!

How did you come to that assumption? I'd really like to know!

@nijiryuu That recap video they showed earlier showed it in the order of 3 - 1 - anime - 2 - 4 

May not mean anything- after all, 4 has Nero and he’s one of the main characters, so it’d make sense to show it last- but honestly putting 2 right after the anime makes some sense. Anime Dante is actively depressed in some ways, and it wouldn’t be that much of a stretch to justify him being the way he is in 2. 

There’s also the fact that in the grand scheme of things 2 is kind irrelevant to the rest of the series. Nothing major really happens. Yeah, Dante gets stuck in Hell, but either way he drags himself out before the next time we see him, whether that be 4 or 5, so it can kind of be put wherever so long as it’s after 3 and 1.

Like I said though, it’s not completely confirmed. We’ll probably get more clarification soon.

Drabble-ish Thing

So, mun did a thing- an attempt at freeform poetry, no less! -involving Shiro’s role in my novel and his inner thoughts from when he started to question whether he was taking the rebellion too far, to the very moment his second in command, Arian, betrays him.

It’s under the cut if you’re interested.

Life is a stage, my dear. The trick is to put on a show. And if I were to die here today, my only desire would be to know-

Will I be remembered as the villain of this story? Will they know of my attempt to change the system? The innocents lost were merely victims, of a schism, of fear turned predatory.

When I woke up that day, I never expected this. I never expected for my beginning to be forgotten, and this current world so deeply rotten.

I never expected that to change this world, I would have to stain my hands with so much blood. I did it for them, you know, dragging our names through the mud. And yet, as I watch myself engulf the world in flames, they tell me that people's lives are not a game.

You think I don’t know that? I am destined for purgatory, the people I’ve killed are not just a backstory. It’s my own heart that I chip away at as I pull this coup d’etat.

And yet, as blood stains my hands-

As screams echo around me-

You call me a villain and I can’t find it in me to disagree. I question my choices, and the stage starts to crumble.

He is getting angry with me, I can tell. I’ve let things go on too far. Forget purgatory, I’m destined for hell. He questions where my resolve has gone-

Truth is, I don’t know anymore.

He wants to go after them, revenge on his mind. This time, I can’t tear our enemies apart. He’s known my sins from the start- He calls me weak for being kind.

My weakness is you, Arian. Even dragons can love and I consider you closest to a son. Yet, you persist and push me away with a shove, and I watch helplessly as I realize what we’ve both become.

For whatever it is worth, I am sorry.

This rage inside you has never abated-

This whole time I’ve somehow mistaken your violence for bravery. The injury we’ve inflicted on so many was a victory? Hardly.

We’ve become the monsters that they believe us to be, and what we did was not what I had sought. As I sit on this throne of bones, with you at my right, our victory close in hand while I watch the two of you fight-

Ryoku begs me with his gaze, begs me to see reason and end this madness- and as I pause you look at me with something like disbelief. You approach me and embrace me, and I look in your eyes, I am surprised to see sadness.

Blind hot agony rips through me, crimson stains white. You tell me I am weak, as if this betrayal was right.

That night was cold, I remember it well.

You were wrapped in a bright blue bundle, stained with ash from the flames we’d left behind, and by the very blood of a dear friend of mine. Your amber eyes were so bright and searching- they said hello when eyes the same color had only earlier said farewell.
