Okay now liste🍅n STOP🍅🍅🍅🍅 Okay but for real: I think Jeff x Nina can be cute- but probably under specific settings, rewrites, etc. However I'd like to stress, that even if I like the ship: I can understand that A LOT of fan content with them together FUCKING SUCKS CHEEKS. I like fangirl Nina, but it is so goddamn clear that so many people that ship it force their heteronormative ideas on them (and like making Jeff be an asshole to Nina frequently, not like that makes the ship impossible but...). It is excruciatingly painful that she becomes sooo male centered in sooo many of her ships with a guy. She can be a fangirl/fan and STILL have a character outside of that, which people are too lazy to do. Their characters/characteristics do not have to be erased to make it function, it's just that so many people have done it in the fandom that it feels like the standard for the ship. Rewrites can absolutely make it work- but only if they actually give a fuck about Nina. I would also like to mention that I can understand that the ship may be iffy because of their canon (Nina's side) sibling dynamic. However, it doesn't make it illegal... and is actually a common friendship thing that can still lead to people dating. When 2 people see eachother as siblings, it is because they just feel closer than friends and feel similar to one another. I had this dynamic too before dating someone and then after breaking up with them (once I got over it). I CAN UNDERSTAND IT!! It definitely can feel really really odd, but it doesn't make the ship inherently bad because of it. Imo the ship is giving an Autosexual/Autoromantic dynamic, which I don't personally see alot. MY OPINION!! *fearful*
