Angst/comforthc Kakashi vs pein
how does the dog pack react to kakashi’s name turning black literal minutes after he had just summoned them only to summon themselves and see the worst think Kakashi dead.
They got him out to mourn and the green light hits and he’s alive!
Pakkun's the first to notice, and he panic's. They had only just left Kakashi's side, and while he hadn't looked like he was in the best shape he was alive. Breathing.
The hounds waste not time. Appearing beside their summoner once more, they feel their hearts drop.
There, laying on the ground in front of them, is Kakashi. His body just as damaged as before, but this time with blood running down his chin.
"Pup!" Pakkun rushed forward, the others hot on his heel. Coming to a stop beside Kakashi's head, he reached out a paw and carefully poked him in the cheek. Just as he would on a day he had to wake Kakashi up during a mission, or when Kakashi was younger and desperate to stay in bed.
"Come on, pup," Another gentle paw to the cheek. "Wake up."
No matter how many times he pokes Kakashi's face with his paw, there's no change. Kakashi's eyes don't open, his chest doesn't start to rise with breath.
He doesn't move.
"Don't do this," curling up beside his summoners head, Pakkun pressed his head against the human's cheek. For once he didn't care about being the strong dog that he was supposed to be. A ruthless killer. For once, he was too upset to care. "Come on pup, wake up."
Behind him he could hear the others whining, one by one slowly joining him around Kakashi's body. Akino over his leg, a protective stance he always took when they guarded their summoner while he slept. Bull settled behind his head. a pillow for Kakashi to use if he woke up. everyone else took an open space. An arm, curled up by his side. It didn't matter. As long as they were close, that's all that mattered.
"Wake up," he whispered once more, rubbing his head against Kakashi's chin even though he knew it was hopeless. "Come on pup. you can't go like this."
He ignored the movement by his head, assuming that it was one of the other hounds opposite him moving Kakashi's head by brushing up against him.
At least, until he feels a hand coming down onto his head.
"So dramatic," lifting his head, he watched as Kakashi smiled at him. Blood still dripping form his mouth, but eyes open and alert. "Can't even die with you around can I?"
There's no real explanation for what happened, but Pakkun doesn't bother to ask. All he does is bump his head up into Kakashi's hand and beam proudly.
"Not a chance," he confirmed. "you're stuck with us forever, pup."
when did he get so big??
The ninken - B = best memory (what is the best memory they have with each other)
The Ninkins best memory with each other is of the time young Kakashi summoned them and they showed up but there was no enemy. They were in konoha and they were so confussed.
And they look back at Kakashi who actually smiles (setting ALL the red alerts off in their brains cuz that is not normal) and says he thought they might actually like a day out.
And they do.
Once kakashi convinces them nothing is up and he just really wants them to have a fun day because they've been helping him so much, they're off. Kakashi even gives Pakkun some money in a pouch that he puts around his neck, in case they want any treats or anything.
They run all around Konoha exploring and enjoying themselves. They play beside Konoha river and definitly about 3 of them end up IN the river at some point.
They go to a shop Pakkun has been to with Kakashi and get some of the best treats which they save until they find a nice quiet spot to eat them.
They even run into some of the inuzuka clan and end up goofing around with the dogs, who are super smart and fun even if they can't speak.
They spend all day out in the village having a blast, and drag themselves home for dinner to find that Kakashi has made each of their favorite dishes and already set them out for them while he eats alone at the table.
Bull is the first one ti grav his bowl and drag it to Kakashi's side so that he can eat with his friend, and the others quickly follow suit because they want Kakashi to know they're always there for him and that they love him. They even get to tell him about their day and he genuinly smiles and asks them all sorts of questions.
Its easily their favorite day, espeshally when Kakashi ends up falling asleep against Bull and they all cuddle around him for bed time.
The Random Cast, D&D 5e, Kingdom Maker, Session 13 - Part 2
Today is International Dog day. How would Kakashi celebrate?
Kakashi summons the ninkins first thing in the morning. This is a day to celebrate dogs, so what better way to enjoy it than with his favourite digs?
In the morning he makes them homemade treats, with all of their favorite flavours. It's a long process, but each of the dogs end up with their absolute favourite treats and seeing the way they wage their tails and jump up at him trying to snatch the treats out if his hands is worth it. It's like they're regular dogs for just a second. Though Pakkun can be a mouth lil shit.
All of the cuddles. All of them. The dogs want to just chill and cuddle with Kakashi'? He is fine with that. Being smoothered to death by dogs is the best way to go in his mind.
At least one big run, usually involving Gai or some other poor soul chasing them because Kakashi sent them to steal something for shits and giggles. It gets the dogs out and running, and gives someone some good training. Depending on how fast the person is, they might actually try to put some effort into the run.
Personalized gifts for each of them, because who doesn't want a gift on a day meant to recognize them? They get to tell Kakashi' what they want, or he tries to make something for them. It depends on the year and just how busy Kakashi is before national dog day.
Bed time cuddles. Day time cuddles are great, but bed times cuddles? Nothing beats that. And as they crawl into bed with Kakashi' and claim a spot beside or on top of them, they each wish him a happy sleep. And as he drifts off, Kakashi can feel Pakkun's nose nudging his chin, and hears a soft "thanks, pup" whispered into the air.
Do the ninken let people carry them around? Pakkun probably has to because he's the littlest, right?
Pakkun has only certain people he will 100% willingly let carry him around. Kakashi (of course), Gai (a little begrudgingly but if Kakashi's not available this is a good second option) and Tenzo (he likes Tenzo, but if its between Gai and Tenzo, kakashi's boyfriend wins by default).
If all of the nindog's are out, Bull is Pakkun's go to ride. He can still move fast on Bull and he's right there in front of the pack for anything.
If, however, none of the above options are available, he will simply go with whoever hasn't annoyed him yet. It's a process of elimination and it's kind of funny to see how some of them react when he sits on their shoulder.
As for the other dogs, most of them don't usually need to be picked up but Kakahsi and Gai will absolutly do it anyways. Gai has been seen carrying an injured Bull after a mission while Kakashi was carrying Akino because Kakashi wouldn't let them disappear with such big wounds and demmands that someone heal them (he is super protective of his ninkin)
Akino however does LOVE to be picked up. He will 100% jump into Kakakashi, Gai or Tenzo's arms because he likes all three of them and it's fun to see how they react to the 'carry me' jump.
Bull is the only one who has never asked to be picked up, but that does not mean he has been saved from it. Gai has given that particular ninkin piggyback rides simply for being awsome (gai adores bull. They're like bff's when the whole gang is out. Kakashi actually worried some days that gai might steal bull)
