Has anyone ever thought about how bizarre it is to read a story told in the first person? It presumes that the storyteller has lived through whatever perils and dramas they tell, and that they are now able to speak of it from their point of safety. It assumes that they are alive and well and unharmed. It assumes that the person was real. That the experience was real. But what if this is not the case?
