the only good thing about Ollie not being able to see screens through his electro-haze is that he only has to suffer through Maes Hughes death once instead of four times like the rest of us

Ollie is trying to describe the clouds for Moritz while Moritz is just thankful for what is close enough to see. ⛅
Honestly looking at the ending of NNY there can't not be another book considering the whole plot line of the blunderkids and the mother was left wide fuckin open
Yeah I mean there there’s that too. A lot of stuff was dropped right before it ended so that certainly points to a third book, but I can also see how it does wrap certain things up in such a way that doesn’t promise a continuation.
Honestly though, if there’s not a third book planned I am going to personally fight Leah Thomas
Some personal Nowhere Near You Highlights (non-spoilery?)
“Here I sit, victorious in my giant body condom.”

Suffice it to say
“If I put you in a room with Klaus, the room would be full of declarations and completely devoid of shame.”
Always whisper around dragons
“Beanies, man. They’re always up to something shady.”
I have to ask Owen about your ear-kittens.

"owen abend ends up happy: boom! instant masterpiece" this is me on like every level at all times goddamn
I’m just....i’m so upset.............please...........please, I don’t ask for much...........
Do you think that NNY is actually setting up a story for a 3rd book? I enjoyed this one and I've bonded with the characters, which I almost never do. This is a special story and I feel like the characters aren't done growing just yet.
Oh yes definitely. I mean just comparing the two books, BYNMM ended much more self contained and kinda wrapped everything important up, while NNY ended with so much still left open, which definitely makes me think continuation.
Plus, you’re right, they’re not done. Like I feel part of BYNMM’s stand-alone feel comes from the fact it is the end, but it’s the end of Ollie and Moritz’s hermitdom not their story. NNY ends not only with them being in the world but fighting for their place in it. It’s less an “end” and more a convenient stopping place, like they’re taking a break (let’s be real after all that they certainly deserve one) before continuing on their journey.
Why is NNY so much more harrowing than BYNMM I'm in actual tears??? (I'm at chapter 35 if that makes this make more sense)
Nowhere Near You is so much more intense like whoa. Especially at that point?? Like “oh things are taking a generally positive turn now whoops wait now everything has gone to shit.”
