Dick Grayson is my favorite superhero character but I don't often cite him as such. Mostly because if someone says "Who?" I don't want to nerd out. So I just say Batman or Superman, depending on the mood. And I have a lot of Batman stuff, so it's easy to see why many assume that. But no, it's Dick Grayson

I watched the animated series, Batman Forever and Batman and Robin growing up but they never got me to love him. What got me to love him was Battle for the Cowl by Tony Daniel, Grant Morrison's Batman & Robin, and Scott Snyder's The Black Mirror

Seeing him struggle with being Batman while also having Damian as his Robin made me fall in love with him completely. Then I continued reading past arcs and followed him through the years and I just love him so much. He and Superman are the two superheroes I look up to.

So when people ask me or just assume Batman is my favorite hero. It's half right. Dick might not want the mantle, but I love him as Batman. He shines best as Nightwing, he is the first Robin, and he is my favorite superhero.
