That episode gave me nothing but hurt and distress (also kinda mad the whole side plot was dedicated to eddie but focused on buck on yet ANOTHER failed relationship after hoping for connection like yes i already knew that)

Is it okay I didn't really like the episode? It's hard to care about main characters dying when they're always fine and there's barely even injuries or trauma after :/ Eddie being gone feels too weird I kept thinking about him the whole time.

I kept thinking of Eddie as well. I hate it when he’s not in episodes.

I also think knowing the team will be fine in the end is hard but that’s just what 9-1-1 does.

Tommy rolls his eyes, face slowly turning redder and redder as the lunch period goes on. “Munson needs someone to put him in his fucking place.”

“Dude, why?” Steve asks incredulously. No way Tommy is bothered simply from the - totally wrong - assumption that Eddie is paying him a little attention.

“He has issues, that’s why. Fucking freak has a staring problem.”

Steve had been amused by this misunderstanding up until now. It’s that word, it sobers him up every fucking time without fail, everytime he’s managed to forget that he and Tommy are not the same.

“I’m just saying-”

“And I’m just saying,” Steve cuts him off, “You need to calm down. Jesus.” Steve isn’t sure how the conversation has gotten so far out of his control. He rolls his eyes, trying to make up for the fact that he’s beginning to sweat. “I mean, you don’t have to sit there, Tommy.”

Steve actually planned on taking the seat for himself today, but when he’d finally made his way to the table, it was already claimed.

He’s honestly surprised Tommy hasn’t cracked sooner. He’d lasted longer than Steve would’ve bet on. It’s been, what? Over two weeks since Eddie started looking at their table?

If Steve hadn’t been so invested in working damage control, Eddie surely would have been acquainted with Tommy’s short temper by now - he’s always been quick to anger.

When Tommy’s only reaction is to narrow his eyes and clench his jaw, Steve decides he has to switch tactics. He rises from his seat and makes his way around the table. Grabbing Tommy by the shoulders, Steve urges him up and pushes him to the side, successfully taking his seat. Steve grins up at where Tommy hasn’t moved since Steve had let go of him. “Better? You know I don’t mind a little attention.”

Tommy grumbles as he takes the recently vacated seat, but he thankfully doesn’t bring Eddie up again.
