Oh, the rare work with a title! This is White Peonies, a Regency romance novella and sequel to a Regency romance novel. (Unfortunately, while I have fun Regency ideas, I find it hard to concentrate on writing books that don't have fantasy or sci fi elements. Got to build worlds!)

This on is a sapphic novella about a young woman who was the sensation of her first season due to her beauty but who desperately doesn't want to marry a man (and got off lucky because her little sister made the match of the season). She's determined to get off the marriage mart, and she heard that her brother-in-law has a scandalous cousin from the wrong side of the sheets who might be able to tell her how to get herself ruined, so she runs off to her establishment to ask for her help.

And then she spends a week trying to convince her hostess to ruin her while getting introduced to a queer community.

Can you do some Sondheim sorting? Desiree Armfeldt, Sweeney Todd, Bobby from Company, Louise from Gypsy.

Sweeney...Sweeney’s a Gryffindor, He’s moody, stubborn, and brash, but he also managed to escape from Australia prisonland and get back to London.  

Bobby...Raul’s Bobby is Ravenclaw for his level of introspection and overthinking. NPH’s might be Gryffindor.

Louise...Total Hufflepuff. She’s loyal to her mother at expense to herself and at first her only ambitions come from family. She’s willing to put her wants and needs aside from June and Rose.

Desiree...I think she’d be a Slytherin? She’s cunning and catty, and she’s willing to scheme to get what she wants.

that sounds really awesome! will you post about your progress/what forms of dance you like best?

Yes I will! I’ve been doing Argentine Tango since the start of the year and I absolutely love it. I’m thinking of trying Jazzballet, Tap, Salsa, Ballet, and Flamenco (which are all offered at the studio I go to!) I’d still keep up the Tango though, and I recommend it to anyone. Ever since I started dancing, I’ve felt a lot happier. It’s relaxing and you forget about your problems when you dance.
