Been thinking on that story where Miyamoto Musashi legendary swordsman from Japan once encountered a Bat-monster called Nobusuma and fought him in a mountain on this amazing battle or something like that so hear me out... Today's yokai is the Nobusuma, a relative of the Australian Drop Bear and Puerto Rican Chupacabra (Just kidding! Or maybe not 🤔). When a bat reaches 1000 years of age it's said to morph into the Nobusuma, a creature that's often mistaken for a common flying squirrel (common as in GIANT here in 🇯🇵). They thrive off the normal fare like nuts, berries...did I mention blood?
