On owls and ancestors

Apparently there's confusion as to whom between Aegolius and Noctae is the ancestor of Otus and Solus. Aegolius is labeled as 'solusAncestor' in the game files, yet describes himself as the 'weakest of owls' and kind of looks like Otus; while Noctae does look like Solus, but says of himself that he's 'not one for talking', reminding of Otus's mutism (and that would make symbolic sense that the weakest of modern owls and the most important of ancient ones are related).

I see your arguments and I raise you: both of these are correct.

For Noctae and Aegolius definitely had kids together. Making Solus and Otus cousins, both with some traits from each ancestor.

(And before you tell me that's not possible, may I remind you that the world of Owlboy features machines that literally yeeted the continents out of the planet, pocket-sized teleporting devices and quite few female owls, so it's entirely plausible.)
