Drone Free LAPD/ No Drones, LA!
Drones are the next issue to be raised by the LAPD Police Commission. The LAPD Inspector General already has 2 Dragan Flyer X-6 Drones in his office. LAPD has made claims that they are working with the community in regards to these Drones, yet when the coalition sent a letter to the Police Commission asking about details of LAPD community outreach, they said there was no record of that. Chief Beck is even quoted, in the LA Times Op- Ed below, stating that LAPD is working with the ACLU in crafting a drone policy. ACLU public called them out stating that Beck is lying.
