I was actually really nervous to upload this, because the anatomy is VERY off (also my avatar OCs haven't been received well in the past...) but I needed a design to work with until I can make her official reference sheet. Also if I decide I want to commission any art of her or something...
Evangelina is my Fire Emblem Fates avatar. In other words, she fills the role of Corrin in The Moonlit Heart. I ended up going with a unique outfit for her, meant to fit in with some of the other Nohrian armor designs. It's simplified and more to Eva's liking.

Evangelina is a very empathetic character. To the point where this is just as much a flaw as a strength. She has the ability to relate and connect with others... but often she cares about them too much. She can get emotionally drained very quickly, and she spends a lot more time worrying about others than herself. Others may also find her nosy and a little annoying, because it can be hard to conceal your emotions from her. She's not psychic though, and there are limits to her perception.
She is a person who feels things very strongly, and holds very close to what she believes in. This especially applies to people, but it should be noted that she cannot force herself to be passionate about something. Evangelina craves deeper relationships, and she actually doesn't connect with people very easily. That is not to say she doesn't care about every new person she meets. She does care, and she is amicable towards strangers... but it takes time for her to grow close to someone. She would rather surround herself with a few cherished loved ones, favoring quality over quantity in relationships. Once she has grown close to you, Evangelina is extremely loyal and would rather die than ever betray you.
Evangelina wears her heart on her sleeve. That is, you can almost always tell how she is feeling just by looking at her. She is a terrible liar, and is almost incapable of concealing her emotions from others. You can always tell when there is something on her mind... you just don't always know what. Although Eva can be quiet, when she does talk, she is always very honest and speaks directly from the heart. It is very important to her that she's true to herself, and hates lying for any reason.
Ever since she was a child, Evangelina has always been very shy. She harbors a lot of social anxiety and gets nervous at parties and in large crowds of people. Her social battery is very limited, and she gets burnt out very easily. Although her upraising probably didn't help with this, it's also just a part of her introverted personality. She can be quite social and affectionate with those she's comfortable with though, and will often rely on her siblings as an emotional anchor when she's struggling.
Evangelina relies on emotion far more than logic. She trusts her feelings, and will always choose to follow her heart, even if it happens to be wrong. She does try to keep a level head, just as she was taught to do, but there will always be a time when tensions are high, and by letting her emotions get the best of her, she may throw caution to the wind. Such situations are almost always a result of her feelings of love and fear working together to override her common sense, and it may take a voice of reason to snap her out of it.
Probably one of Evangelina's biggest flaws is her very timid nature, something she's struggled with from almost as soon as she could walk. She is very fearful and skittish, and it doesn't take much to spook her. Sneaking up on her is ill advised, as she's been known to draw her weapon when startled. Her fear does still get the better of her from time to time, but thanks to encouragement from her siblings she's gotten a lot better at controlling it than she was as a child. Still, she almost always errs on the side of caution, and is the first to display signs of hesitance when faced with something scary.
Evangelina is known to be a very submissive person. It's not that hard to push her around, unless you try to force her to do something she doesn't believe in. She has grown more determined as she's grown older, but is still not very assertive, and remains rather mellow by nature. She's an introvert who cares very little of adventure or excitement, and would happily go anywhere if it meant spending time with her loved ones.
She doesn't consider herself to be particularly special or interesting. Evangelina lacks any natural talent and holds a lot of self doubt. It's not.... entirely clear where this side of her came from, having been surrounded by supportive and loving siblings growing up, but it could have originated from something her father said (or didn't say) when she was smaller. She is still quite hesitant, and doesn't have faith in her abilities yet.
Having been raised in Nohr for as long as she can remember, Evangelina has taken in her home kingdom's values, and as a result is not someone who thinks in terms of right vs wrong. Rather, she thinks in shades of gray... but in an idealistic light rather than a cynical one. Evil is not a concept that Evangelina believes in. She feels that there is good in everyone, and each person does things for a reason. She tries to always see the best in others, and give them the benefit of the doubt. Killing is definitely wrong, and she'd never want to hurt someone else... but she would never immediately judge someone for taking a life, either. There are people in Nohr who have challenged her world view, and unfortunately her sheltered upbringing has contributed to this. She is very naïve and trusting, and it would be easy to take advantage of her (a fact her siblings are all too aware of.)
Despite her softer touch and eagerness to learn, Evangelina has developed into a very serious character. She is not someone who is going to crack a joke in a desperate situation, but could certainly use one in that moment. She hasn't always been, so it's likely this is a result of her older brother's influence on her. The only real exception to this is when she's with her younger brother. Leo is quite sassy with her, and it isn't uncommon for them to throw sarcastic remarks back and forth. Though he does also tease her occasionally, he would never intentionally hurt her, and he is the only person in the world she displays this behavior with. It is probably a safe assumption that Evangelina matches the energy of the other person she's interacting with.
Evangelina experiences considerable anxiety. It's something she will likely always need to deal with to some degree. Perhaps it was brought on by some trauma her memory forgot but her mind remembers... all that's really clear is that it's something she struggles with quite often. I use Evangelina to explore my own anxiety, but it's not her entire personality, and she has a life outside of it (but let it be known that King Garon has not helped her cope with it at all.)
A few other things about Evangelina:
Although she is not intended to be autistic, a few of my own autistic traits have slipped into her. She has a hard time adjusting to change, and has considerable social anxiety.
She loves butterflies, but is TERRIFIED of bees due to an unfortunate childhood incident with a hive, when she was playing with Takumi in Hoshido.
Evangelina lost her eye during an accident while she was training with Xander. Neither one of them talk about it. Her eye was removed and cauterized shut to prevent infection, and she is very rarely seen without her eye patch. Please don't make pirate jokes, she doesn't find them funny.
Berries are her favorite food, and she loves the taste of mint. She is especially fond of berry tarts and mint tea.
She is terrified of her dragon form, though it is more deer-like than dragon-like. Her first transformation was traumatic for her, and for this reason, she keeps her dragonstone with her at all times.
Evangelina has a pet domestic snow leopard named Luca. He is both trained for combat and to provide emotional support.
Evangelina doesn't have a canon ship. Her focus is platonic found family bonds, with Xander being her primary relationship. In the past I have shipped her with Laslow, Henry (Awakening) and Dimitri (Three Houses.)
Her canon path is Conquest. She would never choose Birthright or Revelations unless she felt she had no choice, because the second one of her siblings begged her to come back, she absolutely would. And she would never want to betray or disappoint Xander. She does care for her Hoshidan siblings, but not enough to abandon her Nohrian family, who mean the world to her.
