Unpopular option: I don’t find it appropriate to have non-monosexuality to mean only attraction to more than one gender because it erases asexuality from the picture. Asexuality deserves as much representation as multisexualies such as bi and pan and monosexualities like gay and straight! All of this stands for romantic attraction and orientations as well!
Fantastic news!! IRB finally approved this research. I’m going to create a survey through survey monkey and attach the link to this post when I reblog it. The survey will be made by this weekend. People who are bi or pansexual don’t need to “experiment” with people of different genders. We aren’t going to “second guess” being in a committed relationship or wonder whether we’re “missing out.” All that non-monosexuality means is that there are more fish in the sea to choose from and we chose you.

Just FYI we + everyone else + all the bisexual groups get TONS of "asks" and emails and phone-calls and any other communication method you can think of ALL telling us that since bisexual and {put your favorite local slang term 4 bisexual here} are obviously the same thing we should ALL change our name to {put your favorite local slang term 4 bisexual here} right away. So far most everyone (over 90% more like 97%) has somehow resisted the call to do so. For over 100 years now. :)
i wouldn’t mind if there were a slang umbrella term for the non-monosexual community as a whole so that we could be united without having to be defined by the monosexual community…maybe it would stop all this infighting such as pan vs bi bullshit. but that doesn’t mean that we should just abandon personal identity labels. also honestly i don’t think there’s any hope for unification under a single non-monosexual banner as long as there are people who insist that bisexuality has a different definition to what bisexuals know it to have. why can’t people just live and let live y’know? idk
There's more to the LGBT Movement than the L and G
There's a difference between the LGBT movement and a gay rights movement. The gay rights movement is only concerned with gay and lesbian individuals. The LGBT movement was meant to include and celebrate the diversity of sexual and gender minorities, not because our own communities are small and we must tag along with gays and lesbians in order to get any recognition (in fact, the very opposite is true; people who identify as gay and lesbian are the minority in the LGBT community) but rather the LGBT movement seeks to recognize the diversity in the gay community that was there all along. THe LGBT movement is not just a gay movement. It is all of our movements.

have any of you ever had the experience where you're like, super into one gender sometimes and then other times you're way into a different one? like i have phases where i really want to date a girl or phases where i really want to date a boy or whatever and i was just wondering if that's something other people have too
