STOP ON STOP WITH DRAMAS

I always put all my eggs in one basket. Always. And this year I decided not to do that anymore. And then he came along. Jesus Christ. I can’t even count how many times I’ve gotten butterflies talking to him or even just thinking about him. I feel like a little kid again with their first crush. I keep telling myself to be careful but nothing about me wants to be careful here. I want to dive in and see what happens. I want to drive across the damn country right now just to see him. What the actual hell. I know I’m a hopeless romantic, but damn. I really haven’t ever felt like this before. 

Feelings have never been reciprocated like this before and I’ve never felt so special. It’s only been a fucking week. How the hell can someone feel all of this in a damn week of knowing someone? Am I crazy or is it some weird serendipitous fate? Part of me wants to think it’s the latter.

And all of this was going so well, at least in my mind, until tonight. I started over thinking everything and my thoughts I had today have more of a possibility of coming true because of what is happening at this very moment. I’m so afraid of my fears coming true that I started to self-sabotage again and it’s so infuriating. I just wish I could let things play out without my mind getting in the fucking way. It’s so exhausting and I wish I could be fucking normal for once. I’m tired of the pain and I’m tired of losing people that I genuinely want in my life.

Guys I Didn't Date: The Nickelback Boy

Whenever I hear a Nickelback song, I think of him.

It’s kind of funny, because I probably wouldn’t remember otherwise. But people like to hate Nickelback, so it brings up memories.

The timing was wrong. It always is. If I hadn’t been dating someone when I met him, he might have asked me out. And I might have said yes.

I won’t pretend to remember very much about Nickelback Boy. I’m sure we had things in common because we’d talk after group projects. And sometimes after class, we’d go to Carl’s Jr. to hang out. He’d get a breakfast sandwich or something. And I’d get coffee.

He told me that I should listen watch the Savin’ Me music video (back when music videos were still a thing). “You’ll like it,” he promised. And I did.

Once in a while, when that song is playing, I wonder what happened to him.

I had what I was going to say to him today, but there wasn't a good time really.. & ugh.  It's not even a conversation. It's only 4 words that I want to say. it's a comment because of last Tuesday.

Should I message him it  (even tho I want to see for myself how he reacts to it)? or wait til Tuesday to tell him in person?
