people being willfully or unwillfully ignorant to the extent of nonbinary oppression is in and of itself exorsexist as it re-enforces the notion of nonbinary people as a "fake/illegitimate/unserious" gender group as opposed to the "real/legitimate/serious" gender binary; it furthers the passive yet chronic marginalization of nonbinary identities and contributes to the uphill battle of nonbinary issues to be recognized and seen as legitimate let alone acted upon and meaningfully changed. people using & perpetuating oversimplified and superficial frameworks for viewing and dealing with exorsexism (e.g. only accounting for purely transmasc and purely transfem nonbinary people and ignoring all other nonbinary identities) also contributes to the unwillful ignorance stated previously and also re-enforces the notion of nonbinary issues being mundane/unimportant/easily addressed compared to the issues of binary gendered people.
