went to go reread the apiary fic last night cos you posted a snippet, and was struck by a sudden thought: Clark mentioned Kara. She would probably be able to recognize and explain what is up with him! If anyone thinks to consider both the possibility that it's a Kryptonian thing, and also that they have a person who was on Krypton longer than infancy and therefore knows things. and then also asks her.

I imagine this is extremely unlikely to actually occur any time soon. but I realized it was possible.

I need to be SO clear here, friend: in that specific fic, the bees are not Kryptonian whatsoever, hahaha.

everyone in Metropolis and the full roster of the Justice League: okay so this is an alien thing, clearly. well Kryptonians gotta be weird in SOME ways that aren't just god-level superpowers, so sure, why not, this might as well happen.

once its not red its chill, but i think where exactly one fae considers red to stop and purple to start could vary. i think most fae are more cautious with this potentiality than logan 'loves to write down science' sanders

Something that always entertained Reese was how these little people talked. Some of them talked with enough slang that made no sense to him, and others talked like they were Shakespeare. It was kind of fun to listen to the differences. 

At the moment, he was lying on his stomach outside of town, watching a little festival going on. He wasn’t sure what it was about… something, something, eggs? Reese hadn’t really been paying attention when Cade had explained it to him, but he didn’t mind watching all the little people running around and having a good time. There were, like, tiny chickens that were being appraised and judged and someone had brought out a prize egg that they assured Reese was absolutely massive, and he guessed it looked pretty big in their little hands. 

The true big buzz of activity in the festival was a swooper egg that Reese had brought to show off. Everyone had been impressed at the size, even though it was smaller than the chicken eggs that Reese remembered from his world. 

All in all, it was a nice day out. 

At least, until Reese heard a fight breaking out not far away from where he was lying down and watching. He turned his attention away from the very pleasant music and dancing to see what was going on.  

Two men were getting in each other's faces, growling and shoving, and Reese waited until one of them actually attacked the other to grab them both up. 

Instantly, they both started shouting at him. 

“UNHAND ME YOU FOUL BEAST!” 

“THIS DOESN’T CONCERN YOU, GIANT! LET GO!”

Reese grinned and dangled them both by the back of their jackets over the ground, raising his arm to make sure they could see the big drop beneath them. “You sure I should let go?” 

That made both of them shut up, so Reese brought them back down closer to the ground. 

“Let's be civil, hm?” Reese flashed all his teeth at them in a twisted grin. “I’d hate to ruin the festivities.”

lookin through your list of fics on ao3 for a bedtime story, and struck by how many are tagged with misunderstandings or miscommunication. definitely can tell it's a favorite trope lol (and I like it too, so win-win)

i love to put some characters in a situation they completely misinterpret. my favorite hobby :P

why "used to" on Coby eating lemons? would he appreciate some lemons now, even if they'd only be nibble sized?

Yes and no! His brain still thinks fondly of sour things and he does long for them. Little cravings. But if he actually has anything sour he becomes a sputtering mess because it's just too much for his senses/system. He'll have to slowly be reintroduced to lemons to fully enjoy them again! :3
