Can I request a non-despair friendship between Nagito and Mikan? I want so badly for them to have a good and not-terrible life.

Mikan and Nagito were acquainted pretty quickly in their first year, given Nagito’s luck and Mikan’s talent as the Ultimate Nurse. She was often the one to patch him up when he came into class with a bunch of scratches- or occasionally worse.
They started hanging out more and more, since his luck didn’t seem to affect her much. She was already pretty unlucky herself, what with tripping all over the place and having to deal with Hiyoko on a daily basis, so she figured it couldn’t get worse by hanging out with Nagito.
Their friendship is actually a pretty teasing one. Once Mikan learned to be a bit more relaxed around her friends, she found out she actually has a side that enjoys the teasing banter friends have. She and Nagito are pros at it.
At the drop of the hat, they’re ready to defend each other. They may not be the best at it, and sometimes the most they can do is chew the other person out, but it’s good to know that they have someone in their corner.
They’ll spend entire nights texting, even though Mikan usually stresses a good night’s sleep as part of staying healthy. She’ll make an exception, though, since “talking to your friends is good for mental health, s-so it’s okay.”
