So if we were to outline the Noniad as a series, I think the first book would be the birth of the legend Matthias Nonius and how he became so great with the sword. That would make sense to me. If that is the case, I wonder what type of parents he had, or if he had parents at all. Was he an orphan? Would the House already be in decline, or would the death of Nonius be something that signaled the decline of the Ninth House? So he was alive 1000 years before the Reverend Daughter. Is there any reference in the text to events that took place specifically in that time frame so we can build a picture of what life was like back then? So much work to do...
Wait, I don't think much has changed. Well, that might be because of two things: BoE having the Herald bullets, and I guess the Resurrection Beasts putting the Lyctors largely on the run. So maybe much has not changed. What do we all think?
