I’ve been AWOL from Tumblr for several months now (for a multitude of reasons), but I think I’m in a better place and I’m getting the nudge to try again. So I’m here. With a brand-new updated introduction, and new username (I used to be Tricksters-Tale), because I’ve changed an awful lot since my last posts. This will also be available on my ‘About’ page for later.
I’m a Lokean and work with Loki, his family (except Angrboda, for personal reasons), Odin, Frigga, Baldr, and sometimes Thor and others. Collectively, I call my gods and other spiritual entities that I work with The Family.
I’ve been a Pagan for about a decade and I still consider myself a ‘baby Heathen’ because there’s still crap tons to learn (and always will be).
If I ever make a mistake (which I’m sure I will), I highly encourage folks to correct me politely and respectfully. If you try and shame me or ‘yell’ at me to point out my mistake, I will disengage immediately. Just, you know, a warning because I’m trying to do better at self-care.
My spiritual practice is pretty heavily influenced by UPG, though I do my best to study the lore and historical context (whether or not I’m successful at that is still up in the air).
I’m cautiously exploring the local Heathen community and am working toward joining a kindred in the area (because the Godhi smacked down a homophobic/racist jerkwad and everyone in this particular kindred is incredible and accepting of my devotion to Loki). On that note: I do NOT in any way support using kindred/tribalism as a reason/excuse to exclude people from becoming/following a Heathen path. Worship who you want, how you want. It’s none of my business to judge you (though I’ll give you a great big warm welcome, if you’d like).
I love studying all mythologies, not just the Norse, so I have a semi-limited knowledge of quite a few pantheons, astral creatures, etc.
I am open and accepting to discussing any paths and strive to respect everyone’s beliefs. If you ever want to talk PCP, Heathenry, etc. with me, I would be more than willing to chat--as long as we can have a respectful conversation!
I consider myself genderqueer and gay (which gets all sorts of wibbly-wobbly if I think about it too much). Female pronouns are fine, but I’ll also answer to/be fine with masculine pronouns.
The things I post on my blog here do not in any way represent the full breadth of my spiritual practice, though I’m aware that I will be judged as if that is the case. In fact, this blog represents a very, very small portion of what’s actually going down in my head/practice.
So, yeah. There are some basics. Not even going to apologize for this getting long.
