"guys there's still two episodes left."
as if the state of every other character's arc and every plot point isn't already in abysmal shape, ignored, or underdeveloped.
it's putting off examining why mohan is leaving and shielding the writers/producers from confronting the oddity that is.
girl what are they going to do in 80 minutes? what they proved themselves incapable of in the last 13 episodes? considering most of that time will be to progress robby's story, for which they've already sidelined and dropped the rich tensions and plots of other characters like langdon, santos, and mel, and the existing proof of mohan's little screentime, they are not going to give her a satisfying ending in so little time.
to add, if we're using supriya (and even shawn and some writers) being excited and curious about mohan's future and relationships, they wrote this season not yet having considered the intention of mohan leaving. i've seen others say some who have already watched the finale in advance say the way it ends doesn't support a plot of her leaving. i my mind, any other meaningful scenes that might have supported her staying were cut out (idc where there's smoke there's fire. looking at the context, past accusations, interviews saying things have been cut out, they're lessening her screentime to lessen her presence so the audience won't blink when she's gone as well as to save face and justify her leaving in whatever half-baked line ogilve will probably spit out to explain her departure.).
i have a bad feeling supriya was blindsided. i feel like she talked about how this was samira's big season (at least in terms of what she goes through) and how ep 13 was somewhat emblematic of that but it all felt and fell flat with the absence of probable cut scenes and way too much focus on the wrong things (another conversation to be had about the writers/producers not knowing what exactly drew people to the show). this, the timing of the news release, the contrasting evidence of her excitement, has just left a bad taste in my mouth.
